Hi, everyone,
My name is Claire Tincher and my husband, Tom was an avid disc golfer at West Park for many years. Many people called him "Big T" and he marked his discs with a big black T. He was usually accompanied by two dogs, as well as many disc golf pals. Sadly - and suddenly - he died of a heart attack on Easter Sunday morning. My kids have heard talk of a Memorial Tourney in Tom's name but don't know the details. If anyone knows about this, could you contact me? I would love to assist in any way, and I know of many more people who would like to contribute, as well. My e-mail is claire.tincher@gmail.com
Thanks,
Claire

Claire,

I was sad to hear the news of Tom's passing. I've played disc golf with him a few times, and talked to him many more. He was a great person, and a great mentor to his group of disc golfers. Tom was always giving away discs to new players that needed them. We'll miss him.

I have not heard about a memorial tournament for Tom, but it sounds like a great idea. If you do find out about it, let me know. I'll be happy to promote it at the shop. - Thanks, Patrick.

Was Tom the guy that had a dog named Trudy? He rolled over & played dead when you pointed your finger & cocked you thumb & said bang.

Well, I knew of him also, through Trudy.
