Morning Star Mission accepts credit cards.
Ask for Chrissy Brown 815 722-5780 & mention that it's for the Ice Bowl. It would be helpful if you let me know, so I can follow up.

Leagues & Tourneys / Bag Tag Ace Fund
« on: January 12, 2014, 05:24:04 PM »
We're looking for feedback on the Tuesday's ace fund. The choices would be one ace fund for both sanctioned & unsanctioned players or separate funds for each. Let someone know what you think, we have until April. I'll ask around too.

I am free both days, you have my number =)
That's good news! I was hoping you would step up. My thought now is Saturday morning, there is a high probability of rain tomorrow. I'll give you a call tomorrow to see what you think. The passenger seat is clean, & that's quite unusual, so we'll drive to the pads.  I think $20.00 on the hoodies. Gary's phone was busy, but I'll find out.

J-Town Ice Bowl / Re: J-Town 5th Annual Ice Bowl (2014)
« on: January 07, 2014, 05:36:04 PM »
I'm going to try and raise some extra money and food locally up here in the city and at my office. Does anyone know if monetary donations are tax deductible? This may help to get more donations so just wanted to ask about that so I have the proper information while fundraising. If checks are written, who should the checks be made out to? Thanks guys!
Yes, it can be deducted. I talked with the new director a month or so ago & she said she would send out letters.
Make checks out to Morning Star Mission. Be sure & get an address, although they are typically on the checks.
Thank for your help! :)

As some of you may know the director from the Mission, Terri Micetich, passed away, 42 yrs. old. I'm working with Chrissy Brown. I spoke with her, & we will have chili, but I didn't ask about the chicken noodle soup. As I read the post I said, oops, I forgot about the soup. I want to also mention, Aaron Studer has been collecting with Sat. tags ctp, Shawn McCarthy has a sponsor, Eric Doty, sponsor, Aces & Chains (Patrick) sponsor.  This is about helping others, lets join with Aaron, Shawn, Eric, Patrick, & others, to make the $10,000.00 mark.   :)

Thank You's / Re: Thankfull
« on: November 26, 2013, 06:14:58 PM »
It's that time of year.  :) There is some negative, I don't think me, personally, but I learned of some more negative news today. I've shared with some, & I only mention it because it's heavy on my heart. So.......some may know the hoops needed to jump through dealing with different parks. Channahon is not different, but I had joy today! There seems to be some disinterest for Channahon to care for the disc golf course. Well, I asked Slater if he would pick up some trees from Kendall Hill  Nursery, Kathy Sharp, & we did, but only two. The short end is the park will pick up the balance, & without registration, plus plant them. Happy, Happy!  :D
A second thought, without going through editing, Kathy's Dad, Joe, may be leaving us soon.
