Another hole sponsor!

TownePlace Suites by Marriott: Donated a VIP Guest Pass good for one complimentary stay in a Studio King Suite. They are located just north of Route 6 off Houbolt (just north of the I-80 Expressway.)

Here's the breakdown on who plays where:

2 rounds at Channahon (1 long, 1 short) on Sat. and 1 round at RBF (Red baskets) Sun:

Int
Adv
Adv Masters
Adv Grandmasters
Adv Sr. Grandmasters

2 rounds at RBF on Sat (1 Silvers, 1 Reds) and 1 round at Channahon Sun (shorts):

Nov
Rec
All Women's divisions
All Jr. Divisions

We will also have a final 9 for the top 4 in the Men's Advanced division at RBF on Sunday. The final 9 will be a tough layout. I'm hoping to keep it relatively secret until just before the tourney. But I can tell you it will be a safari setup (ie: not the normal course layout), and it will be long. It should test the abilities of the top four, and provide for a good show for the spectators.

We're starting to get some of the smaller divisions to sign up. Let's see if we can get at least 4 in each of the following groups:

Advanced Senior Grandmaster: 1 signed up so far
Advanced Master: 2 signed up so far
Novice Women: 1 signed up so far

All divisions are available. I think Legend is the only one I don't have on the list and I'll happily add it if someone wants to play in it.

Don't forget to sign up by Feb 14th to get the fly dry long sleeve t-shirt. Anyone signing up after Feb 14th will not receive a shirt (but you'll still get the rest of our great players pack!) Registration is available here: http://www.acesandchains.com/node/21

The list of players currently registered is available here:  http://www.pdga.com/tour/event/16436

If there are at least 3 players signed up in a division, I'll have a trophy for you.

First Flight Flymart:

Friday, March 28th
5pm-8pm
Holiday Inn
411 S. Larkin - Joliet

Players are asked to come check in, and get their players packs at the flymart.

We'll have some great vendors, and a putting competition with some great prizes run by Miles Parkhill of Paragon, and sponsored by DGA.

Everyone is welcome to come out to the flymart, whether you are playing in the tournament or not. So come on out and get yourself some sweet plastic!

If you are interested in selling some of your collectables, or any disc golf related merch, registered players can get a table at flymart for $25. Vendors can get 2 tables for $50 and extra tables at $20 each. Contact Patrick at 815-993-3472 for details or to sign up.

For anyone who wants to register by mail, please mail a check or money order to:

Aces and Chains
1706 W. Jefferson St.
Joliet, IL  60435

Please include the following info:

Name
PDGA#
Division
Email address
PHONE # (probably the most important in case there are any issues, or more info needed.)
Shirt size (if registering before Feb 14th.)

It's $50 for the tournament ($30 for Jr.s, which is trophy only). Plus an additional $5 for CTP, and $3 for the Ace fund. Both CTP and Ace funds are optional.

Please note that we need to receive your registration on or before Feb 14th for you to get a shirt included in your players pack. Any registrations received after Feb 14th will not receive a shirt.

So... I'm not really sure how things work these days, but will there be a merchandise payout for this tournament?

If you finish "in the cash," you'll receive a gift card for the appropriate amount to Aces and Chains Disc Golf shop. You can pick up your plastic that day, or anytime thereafter.

This is a good question by the way, as some tournaments are moving toward a trophy only format with bigger players packs. But we'll be doing payouts just like normal.

Another Hole Sponsor!

Nevin's Brewing Company was kind enough to give a $25 gift certificate to sponsor a hole. If you've never been to NBC, you need to check it out. Great food, and they make their own micro-brews. What's not to like?

First Flight Players Party!
« Reply #27 on: February 09, 2014, 12:16:00 PM »
First Flight Players Party!

The First Flight Players Party will be held at Traditions Restaurant and Pub on Saturday, March 29th from 6pm-8pm. Your welcome to bring friends, family, or significant others. Every player attending will get one free raffle ticket toward prizes we will give away at the party. One of the nicer prizes we are giving away is an overnight getaway donated by the Hollywood Casino and Hotel. Good for a one night stay at the hotel, and a free dinner at one of their three restaurants. That's an approx. value of $180!

Traditions has great food. So, come on out, talk disc golf with your fellow players, and have a great time.

Very much agree! It seems you are really into it and going all out this year and it's pretty damn exciting! Thanks for all that you do!
