Congrats! :D What is this for, to be a director? And are there notes for it (besides the rule book)?  :o

Some higher tier events require everyone to pass the exam. It really is just a rules proficiency test.

Open book test. Since you just took it: Has it been updated for the 2013 rules changes or is the test still based on the 2011 rules?

Not sure - I started playing in 2012 and I didn't read the rule book until yesterday, honestly. I actually read the whole rule book and the tournment book before I took the test, but it gave some good scenarios that I still had to go back and look in the book to make sure I was correct.

I should be doing this soon too, thanks. I been playing for a couple of years and I just recently got my PDGA (#56490) for Christmas and I've already read the rule book.

Congrats on getting your PDGA number!

I did it because I am running Handicap leagues in the Spring with Frank and I want to be as sure as I can be that I am doing the sanctioned leagues correctly. Plus, I have to answer questions and potentially make decisions on people's cards and such.

Hey Frank -

Just happy to be a back-up for Aaron on the tags league and happy to assist you and Gibby on Tuesday nights!

And what I really want to say is taking the official's exam won't help Gibby make those 10-15 foot putts!!  He still needs you for that!

(Just jokes, Gibby!!) :)

Ha! I had a chance to get my brother Frankie back! He missed a 10 footer on hole 7 while I was standing at the end of 9. I yelled:  "Frank! You want me to show you how to make those putts?!?"

with all these officials in here now...maybe youll know the answer to this question

Im wanting to play the ice bowl which is sanctioned. I know if i dont renew before it, I pay the extra $10. When I do renew, would this then become a rated round for me, since it was in the same year that I WOULD have a valid membership? Or does it just not count since I wasnt valid at the time of playing it? Right now its $40 vs $90 for me lol

Thanks!
