J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 9 RESULTS 2019
WEEK 9- May 29, 2019
First Half #9
Community Park, Channahon, IL

TEES
Short Tees  • 18 Holes

CONDITIONS
It was a great night! The temperature was in the high 70s to low 80s with the dew points in the mid 60s making it feel nice and warm. The winds were completely calm the whole night, which is unheard of at Channy. There were a few clouds but not a drop of rain touched the ground. Channy is in unbelievable condition considering the crazy amount of rain we’ve had this year. There are a few muddy and swampy flooded areas as expected but nothing like it use to be. Hole 1 & 3 are in great shape. The only major area that the water is holding is the low lying area that starts on the left side of hole 4s pin and runs east up through hole 7.

 NOTES
• 4 weeks left of the first half!

• Paula “Momma Borowski” Borowski  and Jamie “JamieMac” McDonald take the win by shooting an excellent round of 57 in the Women’s Division.

• Tom MMMM Matesevac and Dave “Daddy K” Kociuba shoot a fantastic round of 39 (-15) and take the top spot in the Pro/Adv Division. After being out for a few weeks Dave shows up with a bang. They both jump back in the game for a top fours finish with just a few points out of a top four finish.

• Tom “Tomasz” Gronski  and Clayton “Big Money” Pelzer shoot an amazing round of 41 (-13) and take the win by a stroke in the Am/Nov Division. I’d say Cayton’s first time at league will be a very memorable one. Tom makes a giant leap towards the top of the leaderboard and he is now in striking distance of a top four finish for the first half.

• Bolton Bros C’Mon Man! One aced a ctp hole but didn’t get into the ctp fund and another on aced but didn’t get into the ace fund.
Just messing with you guys. Those were great aces and I’m glade you guys like coming out to have fun!

• Shout out to Troy Batemen on hitting an ace on hole #3 which was also a ctp hole.

• Best shoes award for the night go to Chris Sprietzer and Clayton Pelzer. If you don’t want to get wet were your rubbers.

• Shout out to Matt Ryan for sponsoring a Buzzz hat for a Women’s ctp on hole #18.

J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 7 RESULTS 2019
WEEK 7 - May 15, 2019
First Half #7
Highland Park Joliet, IL

TEES
White Tees  - Par 54 • 18 Holes • A Pins

CONDITIONS
It was a picture perfect night for disc golf. To start the night the temps were in the mid 70s with clear skies. The temperature dropped into a very pleasant low 70s range by the end of the night. The winds were calm with max of only around 5 mph out of the west. Most of the night was very calm. The course has some muddy areas but it is mostly just tacky. Some of the course has been cut but there is still some high grass in a lot of the fairways.

NOTES
• Half way through the first half!

• Nothing like finishing up the night just as the darkness settles in. Perfect timing, right Marc?

• Patrick “PJ” McMann & Marc “Marckie” Borowski whip the Pro/Advanced division by two strokes shooting an amazing round of 53 (-11). Word on the street is that Marc had one of his best driving rounds at Highland ever and PJ continued to be ridiculously accurate with his putter from all distances. A deadly combination when teamed up for doubles. With this win PJ is now in a tie for first for the first half and Marc is very close to catching the top four and in striking distance of first place.

• Mike “Rocky” Craig and Andrew “Tiddies” Tidwell shoot a great round of 47 (-7) and put a hurting on the Am/Nov division with a two stroke victory. These doubles combo clicked with both players taking turns with outstanding driving and putting. Tiddies dedicates the round to his Ex. With this win they both jump into a tie for first and open up a two point margin.

• Shout out to VJ on him acing hole #12 which was also a ctp money hole. After being out with an injury for a while I’d say this was a nice welcome back. Watch out VJ’s back is back.

• Thanks to Jerome Harvey for sponsoring hole 14s ctp. He put up a sweet Dynamic Discs Disc Golf Bag Strap.

• Once again we had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league. We miss you

J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 5 RESULTS 2019
WEEK 5 - May 1, 2019
First Half #5
Trinity Links, Lockport, IL

TEES
Short Tees - Par 54 • 18 Holes
We played Hole 9s long tee for a dedication to DanO

CONDITIONS
Yes you were going to get wet, muddy and soaked feet last night, but Trinity is in pretty good condition considering we just experienced several inches of rain in the last few day. The night started out in the high 50s with cloudy skies but turned sunny for most of the night. It did drop into the high 40s low 50s by the end of the night making a chilly ending.

IN MEMORY
On May 3, 2015
We lost Dan Osysko a dearly loved member of our disc golf family. Dan O you are missed by many. This week is dedicated to his memory

On April 30, 2017
Dale A. Bartlet: The Trinity Links Gatekeeper. Trinity isn’t the same without Dale. Dale loved his smokes and his coffee but he definitely loved his disc golf family. We’ll miss you buddy.

NOTES

• Trinity Links Survives the Monsoon!
With the massive amount of rain we just received, Trinity would not be in this good of shape without all the guys who have busted their ass working on this course. There’s been a  lot of blood, sweat, tears and heart put into making this course great. I’m just glad to say it’s one of our home courses. Thanks!

• Once again we had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league.
We miss you!

• Zack “Finsky” Finwall and Marc “The Sharc” Davis shoot a fantastic round of 41 (-13) and tie for first. They battled in a tense playoff to claim the first place victory in the Pro/Adv Division. This is Marc’s second win in the first five weeks  he solely moves into first place for the first half.

• Mike “Rocky” Craig and Cory “Drummer Boy” Simonich shoot an greatround of 45 (-9) and tie for first. They battled in a playoff and claim the first place victory in the Am/Nov Division. Mike now moves into a tie for second place for the first half.
