Thanks to all who came out to support Highland today at our fundraiser event. We had 20 players out there (and 1 at West Park) and have raised a whopping $400 towards getting new baskets at Highland Park ($240 from entry, $100 from ctp donation, $40 from Aris Pashos, $20 from Thor). Today's breakdown:
-$25 entry
--$10 to payouts
--$10 to Highland
--$5 to (2) 50/50 ctps and Ace fund

Extra $5 donation, which went straight to Highland, for the chance to shoot at every ctp. We had 19 different ctp's. One on each hole with a bonus "second shot" ctp on hole 17. Of those ctp's, there consisted 27 items that included discs, shirts, towels, cups, beer, and cash. We could not have done that without the help of our players. 12 of those 27 items were donated by players who could not even play today, how awesome is that? I'd like to give a huge  thank you for everyone who donated towards this cause.
(Biggest sponsors, both could not play)
-Thor - 4 discs, 2 shirts, and $20 towards Highland
-Ryan Fancher/Unstable disc golf gear - 2 shirts, 2 towels, water bottle
-Kevin Schramm, Adam Brkovic and Mike Stahulak (Zephyrs of America), and Jeff Kinsela all donated.
-Aris Pashos and Steve Rachan donated the other 10 ctps.

I need to give a huge shout out to Aris Pashos for making this event happen. Aris was the man behind the scenes and with the plan to make this event run great. Him and his fiance made some sweet trophies for the top 3 teams. On top of all the time, work, and ctps he donated he also threw in an extra $40 towards our fund. Aris, you're awesome man!

On top of raising these funds, we also brought garbage bags for our players to bring around as they went through the course. A ton of garbage was picked up today, I cannot wait to see how beautiful this course can get over the summer!

I will keep everyone updated with the financial report of where this $400 is going down to the penny, we will be as transparent as possible. To give everyone a rough idea of what the costs will be, check out this link to Discraft's pricing guide - http://www.discraft.com/pricing.html#chainstar. Sleeves: $17 ea, Locking Collar $9 ea, Baskets $353 ea (will be accoutned for). There will be at least 18 sleeves and collars bought (most likely 28 will be needed, details on this later). All of this does not account for cement, rebarb, welding, added protection/security.

Keep an eye out for future work days! There is going to be a lot of improvements going on at Highland this year. Thanks again to everyone who came out and helped today!

I lost a Purple/Yellow tie-dye Nuke on hole 14 at Channy during doubles last night, a pink Vibram Ascent past hole 12 at Channy, and I left a rainbow Orc and white Polaris in the parking lot of Trinity this last Sunday. All have my name and number on it. Let me know if they turn up!
