Deborah S. (Borman) Lewis
Passed away at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, Monday, May 25, 2009. Age 55 years. Survived by her husband, Gary Lewis; her brother, Keith R. Borman, her mother-in-law, Lois Lewis; two sisters-in-law, Gail (Charles) Carter and Jean (David) Maryanovich; two nephews, Drew Carter and Daniel Maryanovich; a niece, Hayley Carter; many special friends also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. (1983) and Gertrude M. (2001) Borman; her father-in-law, Robert C. Lewis (1986) Debi was a graduate of Lincoln Way High School Class of 1971. She has a zest for life, was a passionate gardener and design landscaper for Creative Designs, assistant manager of Lowes Garden Center, The Fields Nursery and the Brick Barn Nursery. Debi loved to travel especially to the Michigan lake shore. An avid shopper and gourmet chef, she was also a member of the Joliet Cross Country Ski Club and attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church. 1128

The CFR discs are in with the basket artwork. We have Katanas and a mixture of other discs. They are $20 each. The CFR INNColor Star Rocs + (180g) are with the bird (Wayvern) art. We also have the Supercolor Buzzz’ with the Wayvern art. The Rocs and Buzzz’ are $25 each. All sponsorship money from the sales of the discs will go towards the overall purse for IL State. We will have them at Wednesday's league if your intrested. Hurry and get yours soon because they are going fast. Leave me an email if you have any questions.

WEEK 6- May 12, 2010 First Half #6 Trinity Links - Lockport, Illinois 18 Holes - Short Tees - Par 54 Conditions: Temp: Low 50s, windy cloudy, wet, and cold. It was a raw night for disc golf. A least the rain held up until we were done. Considering the rain that fell early in the day the course wasn't in horrible shape. The course was wet and muddy on the usual spots and on some tee pads. Another BIG thanks to Riphizer for the raffles and free hotdogs. Check out their website at www.Riphizer.com 60 Players 30 PRO/ADV 30 AM/NOV TOP THREE PRO/ADV Steve Forneris & Josh Knight destroy the field with a blistering round of 39 (-15). Considering the conditions this was a great round. They end up in first place and taking home $62 each. We had a three way tie for second place. Darrin Johnson & Kris Hutter win the ctp playoff to take the honors. They end up taking home 40 bucks each. Al Hermosillo & Eric Bassett end up in third and splitting $52. The teams shot 41s(-13). TOP THREE AM/NOV Dave Hopkins & Danny “Nugget” Tejero put a hurting on the Am/Nov field by shooting a very nice 46 (-8). They end up in first and splitting 65 bucks.They also add 4 points to their totals which shoots them up the ladder towards the top. There was a tie for second place with teams shooting 48s (-6). Thor Batchelor & John Marren win the ctp playoff to take second and split $35. More importantly they receive that extra point and add three points to their point totals. John Knudson Sr. & Jeff Reardon finish in third and end up taking home $12 each and add two points to their totals. WEEK 5- April 28, 2010 First Half #5 Highland Park - Joliet, Illinois 20 Holes - Short Tees - Par 60 Conditions: Temp: Low 70s, sunny & gusty winds to start. Mid to low 60’s at the end. Another nice night. The course is in great shape. A couple of holes had some mud but they are drying quickly. Another BIG thanks to Riphizer for the raffles and free hotdogs. Check out their website at www.Riphizer.com For the 19th & 20th hole we added two short holes after hole 15. One teeing towards old 16’s basket and the other coming back to new hole 16’s tee pad. Both on top of the newly created dirt mound. Thanks to the guys who brought baskets. 82 Players 40 PRO/ADV 42 AM/NOV TOP THREE PRO/ADV Winning first place all alone were Tom Matesevac and Bryan Marcotte. They shot a great round of 45 (-15). They end up taking home $67.50 each and tack on 4 points to their point totals. Darrin Johnson & Jason McKinney grab the second place spot with a good round of 46 (-14). They end up splitting 90 bucks. Dana Vicich & Eric Bassett finish in third shooting a round of 47 (-13). They receive $63 to split. TOP THREE AM/NOV Paul Slazarski & Dave Hopkins beat up on the field shooting a nice round of 51 (-9) to capture first place. They take home 36 bucks each and move way up on the point total chart. We had a tie for second. Jason Smith and Dave Preston win the ctp playoff take second. They split $43 but more importantly they grab an extra point for their totals. Joe Ward & Cory Clement take the third spot and split $31. This is the artwork for one of the sponsorship discs. We’ll have Buzzz’ tonight for sale at league tonight for $25. Rocs will also be available in this stamp soon. Thanks Mike Kursell for the wicked artwork you created, it looks great! Preregistration for IL State should be open in the next couple of weeks.

I haven't heard of anything but we need to bring the Worlds Biggest Disc Golf Weekend back to the Joliet area. Joliet’s draw was always one of the biggest in the country. So many people have been introduced to disc golf through this great event. Maybe next year.
