WEEK 12 - June 12, 2013
First Half #12
Community Park - Channahon
18 Holes - Mixed Tees -  Par 54

LEAGUE CANCELED!

CONDITIONS
POSSIBILITY of a DERECHO! - A warm-weather phenomenon that travels quickly in the direction of movement of their associated storms, except that the wind is sustained and increases in strength behind the front, generally exceeding hurricane-force.  Unlike other thunderstorms, which typically can be heard in the distance derecho storms  seem to strike suddenly. Within minutes, extremely high winds can arise, strong enough to knock over highway signs and topple large trees. These winds are accompanied by spraying rain and frequent lightning from all directions. It is dangerous to drive and play Disc Golf under these conditions, because of blowing debris and obstructed roadways and fairways. A derecho moves through quickly, but can do much damage in a short time.

NOTES
• Although Channahon looked pretty clear in the beginning of the night we all knew it was coming. With the warnings and potential of ridiculously severe storms it was just not worth starting
Sorry!

• This paragraph I wrote below is from June 23 2011. A day we will never forget.
WEEK 12 - June 23, 2011
First Half #12
Highland Park - Joliet, Illinois
Conditions:  For the first time in 15 years we canceled league. Tornado like conditions caused us to cancel the night four holes into the round. An extremely dangerous storm blew in and ripped down huge tree limbs like they were sticks. The park flooded in a matter of a half hour. We should of never let the round started and we apologize. When our lives are at stake, a 15 year streak is just not worth it. We are very sorry and we learned a valuable lesson. It will not happen again!

• Has Week 12 become a curse!? Stay tuned.

• No Aces 3 weeks in a row!

I’m sorry about no info for the last couple of weeks but I’ve been on vacation. I’ll put up info as I get it. If anyone wants to help by posting stuff that would be great.
Who won the first half?
Any thing exciting happen?

Next week starts the Second Half so everyone starts fresh again!

We are at Shorewood next Wednesday. We scheduled it this way so we can get the league in and everyone can still go and enjoy July 3 festivities with family and friends.

See you later,
Jesse

First half points are in so let the playoffs begin!

Congratulations to all the winners!

All ties have to be played off at one of the seven courses we use at league. The course played on should be a group decision. The best score after an entire round wins.

I need the results in as soon as you can.

SECOND HALF STARTS TONIGHT AT SHOREWOOD!

Here’s top four in each division and the playoff situations.

Overall Battles Have Begun!

The top three in each division will be battling for trophies displayed in photos attached. You had to have played in both halves to qualify. The players on the list have a legitimate shot at winning up to this point. Players will be added or removed as the year progresses.
