Kathy Sharp, owner of the nursery donated 8 trees & shrubs to the Channahon disc golf course. John Carbonaro processed the pickup. The largest two are a 3" swamp oak & a 3.5" red oak. Around $1,500.00 of material. They are scattered throughout the park. These are placed for park beautification, not so much for changing shots.

Ice Bowls around the world raised $295,046. That's awesome what disc golf has given to help those in need, in their communities. I received an email today with the total. J-Town was third. We are now standing on the curb for 2013.

This is the pre thanks to Jesse, Darrin & the crew that make this festival possible. Not only are the awards cool, but the raffle, booing Darrin & cheering Al,........ hilarious! What a festival!!!

I was talking to Shawn Harmon the other day & he mentioned he bought a basket for his hole. You know what's sad is the course doesn't equal to the baskets. What's also sad is the money spent to galvanize the baskets. Who knew it would be a class course? It got me thinking about the holes that have sponsor names on them. I wonder if we will buy baskets for our holes. There is a basket fund, & we need baskets. Perhaps the fund will go 50/50 for the baskets. I think everyone will agree we need to do something. Many choose the course to play is Highland & Lockport, because of the challenge. Lockport has good baskets & we need to do that at Highland. Maybe we can talk at the picnic.
