Since the majority of Pro's will probably be in IN, any chance with a low turnout we might just all play the same locations?  Just a car or two heading to Highland in the morning seems a little weird.
Pull the walk up fee for more players! Indiana State and Illinois State don't charge. 2 Veteran TDs at both. Just a thought for ya.

Deuces Wild 2010 - July 10th (Sunday only) - Trinity Links and Highland Park

Date change: The majority of my team will be playing Indiana State on Saturday. So, I've turned this into a one-day tournament on Sunday, July 10th. The players are to meet at Trinity by hole 1 both days. Both courses are within a few miles of each other. Pros/Advanced will play Blue tees at Highland first, then the long tees at Trinity. The rest of the Ams will play Shorts at Trinity first, then the white tees at Highland for the second round.

AM/Pro C-tier tournament. One 18+ hole round at Highland, and one 18+ hole round at Trinity for a total of 36+ holes in this tournament. Special player pack prize awarded to the player with the most deuces over both courses in each division. Minimum 3 players in each division.

Please select which division you intend to play in. Note that ranked PDGA members cannot play in a division lower than where they are ranked.

Pre-registration is available online until 7pm the Saturday before the tournament, and in person at the store (1706 W. Jefferson St, Joliet, IL) until close of business that same Saturday. We are strongly encouraging pre-registration this year. We will also have registration available the day of the tournament between 7am-9am at Trinity Links, but it will be $10 extra. Please help us smooth the process out by pre-registering. Our thanks in advance to everyone who pre-registers!

Players meeting at approx. 9:15am, and tee off at approx. 9:30am & 10:00am both days.

Tentative Schedule:

Sunday:

Pro Open/Advanced: Highland Blues first round, Trinity Longs second round

All other Ams: Trinity Shorts first round, Highland Whites second round.

Players meeting at approx. 9:15am at Trinity, and tee off at approx. 9:30am (Trinity) & 10:00am (Highland) both days.

Pre-registration is available here: http://www.acesandchains.com/node/441
If it's a one day tournament then why do you say both days 3 times in this post?

Pretty cool to see the roots still existing and the youth that takes over. J-Town is full of Disc Golf legends and I'm proud to be able to mix and mingle with some of them. Neat stories by all. Keep up the good work all of you dedicated Disc Golf lovers!! It's very appreciated by many!

Show Frank some lovin because you won't find anyone like him again!! Thank You Frankie and keep the fighting my man and stay positive my brother. Your support means the World to me. Your special!

Fox Valley Metro has the course ready and waiting for you. Eagle Ridge is in great shape for this tourney. Circles are painted and fairways are mowed. Ace pot is huge from carry over from IOS#1! Come and get it!

Sorry to hear that Ben. There's nothing worse than a thief! What color was the Monarch in case I see someone playing with a Monarch on the courses?

I'm an Air Force Vietnam Veteran. I was stantioned at Da Nang. I was sent an email tonight relative to my tour. it was  received with teary eyes & smiles. Like a bad marriage, the trend being down.
I'm in a different environment today. I have a different family today, clueless of my past. I had a spirit that was not broken & I've shared some of those experiences.
A few have sacrificed for many.
Happy Memorial Day People!!!
Wasn't it you that told me the shoe polish story? That was funny!
Thanks for your service Frankie!

3 of the best disc golf courses I have ever played. If you get a chance go there you will be satisfied. They have everything a course can offer. All are very wooded with narrow fairways and lots of elevation. Lots of par fours and a few par 5s on every course. This tournament was very special for me because I got to meet some of the best players in the World and meet some disc golf Hall of Famers. One Hall of Famer that stuck out was PDGA member #3 Dan Stork Roddick. He was instrumental in helping Steady Ed jump start this game into tournaments. He worked for Whammo and helped with the transition. He gave a great speech at the players meeting that brought tears to my eyes. He said if the mail wasn't so slow he could of had a lower PDGA number lol. The winner Dave Felberg was there on Wednesday the same day I arrived. Him and some other great players signed a disc for our 6th annual Ice Bowl. I wanted to buy some Destroyers from Avery Jenkins but he refused to sell them to me and just signed them and gave them to me. Awesome guy. All the pros were very nice. We stayed in Augusta to try and check out the Augusta National Golf Course where the Masters is played and got about 30 feet in the gate before we were swarmed by security. They said this is a VERY private course and to turn around and get out. We took a picture of Magnolia Lane and got out. They didn't like that at all. Augusta was a dissapointment. Didn't realize the amount of poor people who live there. They are the 18th most illiterate City in the United States. North Augusta, which is in South Carolina was much better. Rented a nice black Toyota Camry with only 48 miles on it for the trip and I was glad I bought their insurance for it! We went right through a tornado on the way and quarter size hail dented and chipped up the whole car. Damage was really bad. We were so lucky to survive that storm. Beside that and cornering a copper head snake we had a blast! The south is not for me. Hospitality was not good. Those courses were top of the line and it's the Home of every PDGA member. Should of stayed in the bad old man division because I would have taken fourth place instead of eleventh but I was glad to cash.
