The battle starts now my brother from another mother! $240 this weekend at the Montgomery Fest. Then Blaine hits a $17,500 basketball shot from three quarters court long. Nothing but net! Are we still filling that swimming pool with a shot glass my brother?! lol lol

I want to start out with this board gives me a place to vent & welcome & praise the the support I'm getting. I'm a little down right now with a friend said it's only cancer.  A tear comes to my eye when i think of what I've done  in helping with Ill. State. I forget his name Bingham or Bangham was huge for getting the tees ready. It's sad but in an instant all that work is history. Thanks again Dean Bingham, I know his name, Bangham is for his puts.
Getting back to my point, I'm battling a high risk range of cancer. That level doesn't come from me it's from the doctors. That saddens me to think about dying. A friend mentioned it's only cancer. Well I'm at 8 with the top being 10.
That's a long way from one. I would think it's reasonable to think my situation is 24/7.
My guess is that it doesn't seem I'm struggling. I'm trying to do the mind over matter thing.
The bottom line for me is the prayers, Thank You!
You people  are very important to me other than he idiot that said it's only cancer.
Vent my friend! You have come a long way. Keep up the good work Frank! I am amazed at your ability to fight off the evil forces. When I pulled up at Illinois State and saw you weed whacking before the tournament, it made me smile. Your not going anywhere my friend! Your a fighter and a winner, and a World Champion!

Shoot The Breeze / Re: Brian Cummings - 2010 Disc Golf Hall of Fame
« on: August 03, 2010, 11:15:46 AM »

Congratulations Brian for your induction into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame.

Brian Cummings

is a big personality in the sport of disc golf. He has been one of the driving forces of disc golf in the Mid-West since the 70's. Always a big man, Brian became one of the first power players travelling across the United States. He has installed many courses and run more than a hundred events, including the 2010 World Championships. He has always been a complete disc golf entrepreneur and has tutored generations of Northern Indiana tournament directors. He is one of the nicest, funniest, most welcoming individuals you will ever meet. Brian Cummings really is a gentle giant…a giant of disc golf.
Agree! Brian welcomes everybody. What a nice gentle giant. Had a fun time playing with Brian last year at Lemon Lake. He can still bomb em.

The entire Chicago Blackhawks organization is awesome. Here's the autographs on the Glo Buzz for the 2011 Ice Bowl raffle:

1. Rocky Wirtz-Blackhawks Owner. Stanley Cup Winner
2. John McDonough-Blackhawks President. Stanley Cup Winner
3. Stan Bowman-Blackhawks General Manager. Stanley Cup Winner
4. Eric Nesterenko!-My favorite. Played from 1956-1972 and won the cup with Bobby in 1961. Very physical player with a nickname "Elbows".
5. Bobby Hull-Owns all sorts of records. First millionaire contract in sports history when he left for Winnipeg. Had the best shot of them all. Stanley Cup Winner and a truly nice guy who will steal your wife if you're not looking and drink your last beer!
6. Brent Seabrook-Gold medalist and Stanley Cup Winner. Solid player for years to come!
7. Dennis Savard-Stanley Cup Winner with all sorts of records with the Hawks, Best spin-o-rama in the game.
8. Brian Campbell-Stanley Cup Winner. Couldn't wait to get him back for the Cup run and get Buff off the blue line.
9. Dave Bolland-The Rat! Stanley Cup Winner Instrumental in keeping the oppositions best scorer intact!

These autographs weren't easy and there are stories behind every one. What a wild ride it was!

There will be pictures to prove authentication of the autographs included with the Buzz along with a Blackhawks Convention backpack and official pass.

We had a great time meeting these great people and can't wait for the 2011 season!

I have the results from the endoscopy & they are negative. That was going down through the mouth. They did find one little thing a hiatal hernia, that is a non issue & many people have them. It is nothing to worry about & doesn't need treatment.

So, the next deal is the radiation simulation 06/10/10. I may pass that story on, I think that's going to be a humbling experience. I'm still amazed I didn't have any polyps. I believe in the power of prayer.

It appears all I have to deal with is the prostate cancer.

I thank all of for your support!!!
Frank
So glad to hear that Frank. I believe your positive frame of mind and your hard working attitude has helped. As you can see, your prayers are being answered.
God Bless you my friend.

Shoot The Breeze / Re: Joliet's own Hall of Famer
« on: June 01, 2010, 01:03:50 PM »
He is a living Legend in our area. We named an award last year after him called The Gary Lewis Achievement Award. This year will be the first year someone will receive it other than Gary. The individual who best represents the award will receive it at the J-Town Doubles League party October 16.
This is what the award reads.

Gary Lewis Achievement Award

Ultimate Ambassador to the Joliet Area Disc Golf Community

Tireless pioneer who through hard work consistently leads the sport of disc golf into a positive direction we love and call our own.

Inspiring role model who has devoted his blood, sweat and tears to help build a foundation to provide generations of disc golfers opportunities to compete, grow, and learn.

Disc golf icon and visionary leader who, through his generosity, humility and determination helped construct a united disc golf community that regardless of age, ethnic background, educational or economic level we are all honored to say we belong to.

When I win any plastic at Joliet events I like to have Gary sign them. That's what I call a home team autograph. He asked me why I wanted his autograph last time and I said I was selling them for $100 on ebay. lol    So lucky to have a Hall of Famer and one of the best promoters of the sport so close by.

Frank got some disturbing news today regarding his health. I am asking for him if you could all offer up prayer.  Frank is a believer in the power of prayer and would appreciate your prayers and good thoughts. Thank You.

Lost & Found / Re: Champion Destoyer Found at Shorewood #17
« on: March 24, 2010, 02:07:45 PM »
I found a pink, 2009 joliet dg championships, 175 Champion Destroyer on hole 17 at Shorewood.

It belongs to Tom Matesevac, 23272.  Does anyone know how i can get this disc back to this dude?
He will be at Joliet leagues or ask anyone on the course if they know Tom. If they know Tom give them the disc to give to Tom. Everyone knows Tom. He's a putting machine!

J-Town Ice Bowl / Re: J-Town Ice Bowl 2010 Standing
« on: March 19, 2010, 11:08:48 PM »
Not all the reports are in for the Ice Bowl but today we're in 12th place.
Dean Thor & Frank were there & everything went well. Choosing pictures & giving input for what's going to be published in the Herald News.
Terri took us on a tour & I was quite impressed to the depth of their outreach.
They screen who they help. They have a standard helping the truly needie. You can't be a drunken jerk who needs a place to sleep with a free meal.If one comes in with that status, they dry out with help from the police & go back to be interviewed.
They help whole family's. They train people to be self sufficient.
We did a good thing J-Town!!!
AMEN BROTHER!
