Great Jacob. Shawn Harmon may help also. Maybe you can keep in touch with Mike as to how we're doing.

That's good news! I may try & get there around 1:00pm if you're off at noon. I'll post something Thursday morning. I'm sure Jason Poole won't mind.

This thought came to me last night. I wake up numerous to take a leak & usually don't have a problem getting back to sleep. I was chilled, a side effect from the medication. So my mind was spinning & the Ice Bowl donations came to mind.
I'm wondering if we were brought up differently. Helping others was a natural thing to do. Some things that come to mind are people stuck on the road. I remember getting gas for someone that ran out or helping with a flat tire. If a woman was in trouble, the brakes smoked!
I'm saying after looking at the list of donations. The percentage of golfers giving is low. I guess we think differently. Of course you will help out by playing the tournament. It looks like it's going to be a tester.

That's Great Mike! I need to ask Shawn Harmon, he doesn't read the message board. It looks like we are going to need a lot of help. The forcast I read is 1"-3" tonight, 2"-4" tomorrow & 10"-15"  tomorrow night.  That's a max. of 22" & a min. of 13".

Jason Poole offered to help on the tee Thursday. The plan is to get out there a little after 2:00 pm. I'm hearing different amounts of snow accumulation. We may have our hands full. More help will be appreciated.

As some of you know we're having a fundraiser, Ice Bowl 02/05/11. What I think most if not all would agree, is to have footing from the tees. At these warmer temperatures & play on the tees. the footprints turn to ice. The tees  are going to be cleaned, as needed for our Ice Bowl on a regular basis. The short story is Shawn Harmon, Flash, John Marron, let me help on 1 tee.
Thanks fellas!
There is snow in the forcast this week, & I may need help with the tees, let me know if you can help. It may or may not be needed. From experience, I can count on me.

Thank you Jeff Reardon. I received your donation today. I haven't thanked anyone else on our message board. It's kind of you to put out the effort, It's not that others don't. With the people I know they usually jump in here & there to help for what ever is going on at the time.  I don't know everyone & I don't recall you. If you know who I am, would you introduce yourself? If not I'll listen for your name at the Ice Bowl.

Thanks Stevie!
If you're not much on prayer, keep the positive thought rollin. Typically prostate cancer is relative easy to cure if caught soon enough. I knew I had issues a few years ago, & just put it off. My brother, who came up from Texas, Christmas 2009, insisted I get checked out. Waiting like I did has given me an aggressive form of prostate cancer. To be sure it's cureable, but not a slam dunk. Another side effect, that I haven't delicately mentioned, is I'm medically castrated. What a thrill!
When I come to mind I believe God hears the good thoughts.
It's nice to hear from you Steve.

To date it seems I'm the lone ranger in getting donations for the Ice Bowl. Last year we had CTP's as a bonus n/c. This is a fundraiser for an organization that's helped people in our community for over 100 years. It's life blood depends on local donations.
Everything I've collected will be raffled, with a $100.00 Grand Prize. I discussed this with Thor & he agrees. We feel that winning something is a bonus. My effort for this event started Thanksgiving, my son reminded me. I've driven countless miles & spent as many hours, not only to promote our club, but for a worthy cause. It will give you a better chance to win something in the raffle. It's around 40 right now. For those of you that disagree, beat the bushes, your efforts can be ctps.
I want to give kudos to Dave K. & Scott Coyne. They overheard me asking for support, & came up to me & donated. Others like Matt Coyne & Shawn Harmon are always there, always. I'm disappointed in some & if the shoe fits, wear it. If you don't believe in the cause, believe in the club!!!
Well.............that's two hours of my life!

I doubt that anyone how to get in touch with Dan. My hope is he reads our message board.
His company made a generous donation for our fundraiser. The check was made out to J-Town disc golf & not to Morning Star Mission.
He's lost to me & I hope he can be found. If I'm in the wrong spot Jason Poole will make it right.
Let me know how I can meet up with you Dan.
If you can't find him why not just cash the check and give the cash to the Mission Frank?

There are two reasons why not. I don't have the check & it was made out to J-Town. Thanks Jr.

Another note. My philosophy of leadership is by example. It's been a history with me. I'm trying to make a statement about disc golf to our comunity, & for an icon in our community, Morning Star Mission. The funds already being raised should indicate the reputation Of the Mission. Business/ personal that give on a monthly basis, have donated.
Will you join me in a win, win deal we have? We promote the club, for a good cause,

Sincerely,
Frankie
