WEEK 25 - September 16, 2015
Second Half #11
The Round Barn, Manhattan, IL

TEES
18 Holes - Par 54
All red baskets except holes 4 & 5

CONDITIONS
The night started out at around 83 degrees with souths winds around 10mph and gusts into the high teens. The skies were clear but it was extremely windy in the open field. The night ended with temps around  a pleasant 74 degrees. A very nice night for disc golf! The course is not in the greatest shape. There is a lot of overgrowth throughout the course. A lot of the areas that were groomed in the beginning are not be maintained at all now.

• Only 2 weeks left!

• It’s good to be Cali!

• Al “The Lefty Spaniard” Hermosillo quietly slaughters the pro/adv division by an amazing five strokes. The Spaniard draws Cali and shoots an incredible score of 37 (-17) to claim the victory. This is done with only one extra throw on each hole. Al is now only one point out of first for the second half and he extends his lead to 1.5 points overall. Nice shooting!

• Shooting by himself (Cali) Aaron “Lets Cook” White destroys the am/nov field by two strokes. He shoots an amazing round of 44 (-10) in tough windy conditions. Mr. White has now jumped into second place for the second half and he is only one point out of first. Nice shooting!

PLAYERS
30  Players
17 PRO/ADV     13 AM/NOV

TOP THREE
PRO/ADV

Hermosillo takes an impressive first place and takes home $95. We had a tie for second with the teams shooting nice rounds of 42 (-12). Kris Hutter & Steve Rachan win the ctp playoff to capture second place. They end up splitting 55 bucks and picking up three big points. Kris holds onto a one point lead for the second half and sits firmly in second  place overall by five points and 1.5 points out of first. He is definitely in striking range to claim first place. Brian Kevish & Matt Coyne take third and split 20 bucks.

TOP THREE
AM/NOV

White takes the top honors alone and he takes home 45 bucks. Ryan Barcas & Dylan Frederick take second place by shooting a great round of 46 (-8). They split 20 bucks and tack an extra three points to their totals. Dylan keeps himself alive for the second half by moving into a three way tie for fifth place. He needs to play his ass off these next couple weeks to try and jump into one of the top four trophy spots. Mike Eichorst & Edgar Jones end up in third and split shit, but Mike gets a very important extra point. Mike holds onto a one point lead for the second half with a charging field licking their chops to overtake him. Mike says bring it on this is his year! He has also pretty much wrapped up first place overall. All Mike needs to do is show up for one of the last two weeks and he would gaurantee the overall victory. If Mike wins the second half he would be one of the few players to claim the Triple Crown.

J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 1 RESULTS 2016
WEEK 1 - April 6, 2016
First Half #1
West Park-Joliet

TEES
Short Tees 18 Holes - Par 54
Holes played: 1-5 and 12-24

CONDITIONS
It was a winter/spring type night with temps only around 46- 48 degrees all night. It rained/drizzled before, during and after the round.  Winds were steady at around 8-10 mph with gust into the 20 mph range. The course was in decent shape considering all the rain through out the day. I have to say it was a kind of a miserable night.

NOTES
• Reunion Year!
It was great to see everyone again. We had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league.
We miss you!

• Chris “Crispy” Brenholtz and Bobby “Bobby J” Johnson shoot a ridiculous 38 (-16) to easily clam the first night of 2016’s Pro/Adv Division. Considering the muddy and wet conditions their round was extremely impressive. They make the first big jump on the leader board!

• Ronnie “Dawsey” Dawson draws Cali and puts an old fashion whipping’ on the youngsters. Ron shoots a fantastic round of 42 (-12) to claim the first night of 2016’s Am/Nov Division. Nice Shooting Ron!

 • Shout out to everyone who came out in and braved the less than ideal weather.

• Shout to Ron Dawson’s enormous umbrella. That thing can cover truck.

J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 1 RESULTS 2016
WEEK 2 - April 13, 2016
First Half #2
Community Park, Channahon

TEES
Short Tees 18 Holes - Par 54

CONDITIONS
It was a clear night with temps around 60 degrees at the start. The winds were blowing at around 10mph from the SE with gusts into the upper teens. The temperatures cooled off into the low 50s once the sun started setting.  The water areas on the course are high but overall the course is great shape. It was a great night for disc golf.

NOTES
• Reunion Year!
We had some players that haven’t been out in couple or few years make the way back. It was great to see John Carbonaro, Faban Gonzalez, Aaron Studer, Ryan Hoffman, Ben Carrescia, Steve Slater, Chris Peters & Jon Vargo make their way out for Reunion Year! Most of them are probably going to be regulars again. We even seen Roy Bazan walking his dogs around the park. We also had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league.
Reunion Year!

• Jimmy “Jimmy Mac” McDonald and Mike “This is Really My Year” Eichorst shoot a fantastic round of 41 (-13) to quietly clam the second night of 2016’s Pro/Adv Division. Jimmy Mac parks hole 11 to seal the deal!

• Mario “Bebe” Guzman and Dave “Jumpy” Hopkins shoot a ridiculous round of 43 (-11) and destroy the Am/Nov Division by 2-strokes. They easily claim the second night of 2016’s Am/Nov Division.

• Shout out to Taco Lady.

• Shout to Dave Kociuba for all his help. He has been an extremely vital part of our league these last few year.

• Shout out to Angela Del Sasso for coming out and battling with the boys.

WEEK 3 - April 20, 2016
First Half #3
Trinity Links, Lockport

TEES
Short Tees 18 Holes - Par 54

CONDITIONS
The night started out at around 69 degrees with a slight drizzle and south winds blowing at around 10mph. The drizzle turned into heavier rain throughout the night and mores steadily towards the end. The temperature also dropped to the mid 50s making it a miserable ending. The course is in great condition and it looks fantastic

NOTES
• Trinity Links has come a long way these last few years. A huge THANK YOU goes out to all the guys who have busted their ass working on this course. There’s been a  lot of blood, sweat, tears and heart put into making this course great. I’m just glad to say it’s one of our home courses.

• Once again The Swamps of Trinity ate many discs, but at least no one fell in this time. Although the water is actually very clear nowaday The rakes definitely got a workout.

• Thanks guys for letting us use the Trinity Links club house for registration. It was great to stay nice and dray all night and not have to worry about the weather elements. This makes a huge difference when getting things ready. Every course needs one.

• Reunion Year!
We also had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league.
Reunion Year!
