J-town,

Here's a question for you...What putter is everyone using??

Just curious, as I've heard some grief about using a certain type of putter and just wondering if there's something out there I should give a try...

I'm not gonna say just yet what I'm using, but I've been happy with them...I wanna wait for some replies before I tell you...

Yeah, you can sit down and putt while you nurse that sprained ankle!

That's not the real reason I replied, but it was a close second!

I just bought 4 identical Discraft Soft Banger GT's - same weight. I read a putting article in disc golfer that explained the concept of practicing continually with a bunch of identical discs, and preferably, identical discs to the one you want to putt with in game.

And yeah, didn't do so hot in the tournament in Fort Wayne IN this weekend...did decent for my level and time playing, and it wasn't last, but I wasn't happy with a +11 round 1 and a +12 on round 2 (albeit, round 2 course was tougher and longer holes).

I use an Omega. I like the smaller rim, relative to the Aviar. Now I use the Aviar for my up shots, if I'm in my rag arm range. My putter is like a custom fit glove for me. I guess the bottom line is what works & it takes time to figure it out. It may bug some people, but I ask what they throw on a good throw. You can try my putter, it's old & doesn't have a birth certificate. Shawn Harmon uses an Omega. We'll hook up sometime.

Rob--

Ankle's doing much better!  I'll be back at it tonight!  Dying to get back out on the courses!!

I putted for a couple hours on Sunday, ankle's feeling pretty good...

Anyway, I have 5 of the same type & weight putters for practicing.  I do believe in that way of thinking...

I use Aviar's and have had good luck with them... I carry 3 in my bag: a tie dyed champion for 20' and in, a dx kinda beat for longer putts & a really beat dx for upshots/short drives - all 175.

I'm also a firm believer in whatever works for you...use it!

Still had fun at the tourney, right??

Frank -

I always like to ask questions like that and I like to try different discs too!  Ya never know when you'll find that next disc that is a must for the bag!!
Hope to see you tonight at Handicap league!

Vibram Ridge as my main putter, and a Vibram Summit for an anny putt, or a putt with absoultely no fade.

I use 4 Yeti Pro Aviars, usually only 2 are thrown during any given round, the other 2 are mostly just for practice, or if one gets lost.
