You should come out to the doubles league on Wednesdays or the J-Town Disc Golf Club hosts a handicap league on Tuesdays. These leagues will better your game at a lower stress level then a tournament. You’ll meet a ton of great players but even better people.
Ultimately most of us have the same problem but yours is just a little more unique. We try to develop different shots to solve the problem. Have you tried a forearm with your left hand? What about a beginner friendly disc that is under stable, which might help you turn it over to the left like a Discraft Nuke SS?
WEEK 5 - May 2, 2012 First Half #5 Highland Park - Joliet
TEES 18 Holes - White Tees - Par 54
CONDITIONS HIGH 70s to start the round- LOW 70s at the end of the round. It was a little humid but a perfect night. The red tees where a little muddy so we played the white. The storms never showed up.
COMMENTS To our experienced Am's that pair up with a beginner. Your guidance to these players are a major part of the future success of the league. Please be a mentor to these new players and make sure when they leave they feel like they had the coolest time and want to come back. It's great to win but if feels a whole lot better knowing you helped make a difference in someones game. You just might be helping the next great player in our area.
Please don't be discouraged if you're an AM and had a rough night. Shake it off and try again next week. The more you play and learn from the league's more experienced players the better your game will evolve. We've all been through this stage.

COMMENTS Frank Grimes has turned Community Park into a botanical garden. We all know the amazing hard physical work Paco has put into making this course look and play great. But it’s his attention to detail that puts this course into that completely amazing category. You know you have a special disc golf course when the course caretaker is fertilizing and putting down dandelion killer.
The Non Stop Disc Golf crew were in town to give a clinic and share their knowledge to the local disc golf scene. It seemed like it went very well with a least 40 players participating in the clinic. The crew of Catrina Allen, David Feldberg, Cale Leiviska, Paul Ulibarri, and Will Schusterick all ended up staying and playing in the league. It was exciting and an honor to have these players come out. Thanks to all our local guys who were involved in making this happen.
With the extra players from the clinic the league sign-up turned into a feeding frenzy. We tried to let as many players sign up as we possibly could, but it’s tough with the shorten daylight. We had no choice but to cut off the field. As the year goes on we can add more holes and let more players enter the field. We are sorry if you were turned away
Again last night we had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league. We know you’re listening so get out here. We miss you! Please don’t be discouraged if you’re an AM and had a rough night. Shake it off and try again next week. The more you play and learn from the league’s more experienced players the better your game will evolve. We’ve all been through this stage.

COMMENTS Trinity Links has come a long way these last couple of years. A huge THANK YOU goes out to all the guys who’ve busted their ass working on this course. There’s been a lot of blood, sweat, tears and heart put into making this course great. I’m just glad to say it’s one of our home courses. The Murder rake got a work out last night with a least 10 discs going in the water on holes #1 & #15. Thanks Thor for letting us use the Trinity Links club house for registration. It was great not having to worry about the weather elements which makes a huge difference when getting things ready. Every course needs one.

CONDITIONS LOW 50s to start the round- MID 40s at the end of the round. Winds picked up throughout the night and temps dropped quickly. Another cool if not cold ending to the night. The course is in July shape with the ground completely hard, dry and dusty. Overall it was a down right chilly night.
