Jtown will be having an ice bowl on feb 27th, 2010. I choose a saturday so it wouldn't mess with winter league schedule. More info will come as I get it. If anyone wants ice bowl gear let me know. Also if anyone has an idea's about getting donations and or collecting can goods that would be just swell.

are these tournaments sanctioned?

Send me a flyer to my regular email Thor and I'll see what I can do for some sponsors. I know I can get some Jel-Sert products from where my wife works. Who is the beneficiary?
-
I don't have a flyer yet... I am making it now but I am looking at other flyers to try and get an idea of what i want on it. so soon i will have a flyer up and going

Thor,
you're welcome to have the ice bowel one thing to consider is the cost of portable toilets. I also need to set the date with the park. Will it be sanctioned?

I called many local porta potty businesses to find someone to donated for our Ice Bowl on 2-13-2010. Batavia Can offered us a discount ($75.00 rental) phone #1-630-879-8377.
National Sanitation won our hearts with a FREE porta potty 1-800-352-5675. Many of the businesses ranged from rental fees of $99.00 up to $135.00.

Thanks Christie, I'm checking to see ir the Channahon will donate.

I worked with Thrush Sanitation out of Ottawa when I rented a porta-potty for Channahon in March of this year. I believe it was under $100, but they were super nice to work with. They might be worth a phone call? http://www.thrushsanitation.com/
I would also see if Ellen or somebody from the park district has the contact info for the porta-potty company they use during the track season. Since the park district is a (presumably) repeat customer, perhaps that company would be willing to help out?

I'm going to check with Channahon & see if they will donate a porta-potty.
