We are closing in on July 5th, and I hope that everyone can make it out to my event at Trinity. Really hoping to raise some money for new tee pads. This will be after Patrick's event. https://www.facebook.com/BringYourTrilogy

No you will not have to use the discs from the trilogy challenge. This will be a bring your own event. Chose a driver, midrange, and putter that you own and bring that out to battle. Just trying to stick to the whole trilogy theme.

After the trilogy challenge is over I will be running a bring your own trilogy event over at Trinity Links. I am still working out all the details, but the basic idea is bring you own three discs (driver, midrange, putter) and play a one round cash tourney. Half of the money will go towards the payout and the rest will be spent on beverages with any leftover funds going to the teepad fund. Two divisions Am and Advanced/Open. 10 for lower division and 15 for upper division. There will of course be CTP's and an ace pot.

Ha ha hole ten that is my bane. I have lost a yellow chanahon classic sidewinder, a blue champ roadrunner, a glow orc with a colts stamp and my buddy lost a blue river there for me.

Have to second Rob's opinion. Jason has been pretty instrumental in handicap the last two years from what I have seen. He also does some amazing work for the club and the website.

Great event, and way to go J Town. Looks like 5 or 6 winners from the league. I know at least five, but I don't know everyone that plays doubles. Maybe I should say way to go handicap with 5 winners.

Great event, dislocated toe and all. Thanks for all the work that everyone obviously put in.

No worries, no offense taken by me. I can totally understand the need to vent after an incident such as the one that you experienced. I have only been in the area a year myself and have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this league.
I am not saying that all of our members are saints, but in most all cases they show respect to other golfers while on the course.
Hope to see you at handicap on a Tuesday some time or bag tags on a Saturday that my daughter does not have a softball game. They will stop having Saturday games eventually.

From when I last talked to Patrick before his vacation they were not going to be out to service the course until some time this week. He knew the conditions were rough then and he has made the park district aware. Not sure when they will be out to service the course, but hopefully they will get to it soon.

I don't know who these people were, and I know that I take my kids golfing all the time. I can definitely see where your anger comes from, but I feel that you are unfairly painting all of J Town for the actions of some random people you met on the course. There is also little need for profanity on these boards as the people who offended you are unlikely to be vocal and active members in the community. Again I feel your pain, as I bring my kids out to play all the time and my daughter plays bag tags with me most Saturdays. I just do not believe that every person you might run into on the course is representative of the community.

Just a reminder to everyone, next J Town meeting is on July 8th. Come out and voice your opinions. Not to throw mud, but I want to play all of our great courses. I know of several players that refuse to come back to handicap after this change.
