Gregg Barsby the 14th ranked player in the World, will be hosting a Disc Golf Clinic tomorrow Wednesday, April 17, at Trinity Links.
This will take place before the J-Town Disc Golf Doubles League gets started at 5:15 pm.

Here’s the Clinic info:
Place – Trinity Links, Lockport
Clinic Time – 3-4 pm
Cost – $10 a person

Gregg will also be offering private half-hour sessions of one-on-one training beforehand for $25. To set up a private lesson call or email Dana Vicich.

WEEK 5 - April 24, 2013
First Half #5
Highland Park - Joliet
18 Holes - White Tees - Par 54 



CONDITIONS

The night started and ended with the temperature  around 48 degrees. The winds were steady at around 10mph with gusts into the teens all night.  The SUN was out the hole round. The first time all year! The course was a bit muddy, but it was in pretty good shape.

NOTES
• Due to massive flooding we flip flopped courses. Next week will be at Community Park, Channahon

• Frank needs help this Saturday at 9:00 am putting the bridge back between holes 12 & 13. He says the water at Channahon is receding nicely and should be playable next week.

• Jon Vargo & Bryan Marcotte cruise to a playoff victory in the Pro/Adv Division. Considering the conditions they shot a great round of 45 (-9). 

• Tyler Gubser & Greg Fredricks easily take care of business in the Am/Nov Division. They take down the field by  shooting a good round of 50 (-4).

• League moves to a 5:30 start time next week

• The DAMN SUN came out for the first time this year!

• It looks like this years Am/Nov field is one of the leagues strongest ever. It’s going to be a battle all year!

• NO ACES, the pot approaches the $100 mark for the first time this year.

We had a tie for first place with the teams shooting great rounds of 45 (-9). Jon Vargo & Bryan Marcotte win the playoff and they end up splitting 116 bucks. Ryan Gremillion & Dave Kociuba take the second spot and they split 72 bucks. Dana Vicich & Kevin Macuiba take third place alone shooting a good round of 46 (-8). They ended up splitting $42.


TOP THREE
AM/NOV

Tyler Gubser & Greg Fredrick take the top honors with an easy win. They shot a hot round of 50 (-4) and split 62 bucks. We had a three way tie for second with teams shooting 51s(-3). Cali man Mike Noe wins the ctp playoff on hole #10 to claim the win. He takes home $33 and tacks on 3 huge points to his total. Mario Guzman & Mikey Saenz take the third position and they end up splitting 20 bucks. They also add two huge points to their totals.

First Half #6

CONDITIONS
Picture Perfect Night! The night started out with the temperature  around 81 degrees. The winds were steady at around 10mph with gusts into the teens.  The SUN was out the hole round. The temp dropped into the mid to low 70s and the winds died down by the end of the round. The course was a bit muddy, but it was in great shape. The sunset was awesome!

NOTES
• Dave Kocuiba & Scott Parik cruise to an easy victory in the Pro/Adv Division. They end shooting a great round of 41 (-13). Dave makes a big jump into first place for the first half where he now sits alone. In Scott’s first week back this year he jumps half way up the points chart. 

• Luigi Noe & Chris McCabe win an impressive playoff between three teams to take the top honors. They ended up shooting a very nice round of 44 (-10). Chris & Luigi have now put themselves in contention for the first half with their win. They both move towards the top of the points totals.

• A BIG THANKS goes out to Paco and everyone who worked on getting Channy back into shape. It's hard to believe just a week ago the course was mostly under water. What a beautiful course!

• NO ACES, the pot starts at $146 next week

Shawn Harmon & Ben Carrescia win the ctp playoff on hole 1 to take the second place honors. They end up taking home $39 each. Shawn inches his way towards the top four for the second half. Bart Zandstra & Tom Matesevac take the third position and split 50 bucks. Tom losses the first half lead but he only trails by one point.

TOP THREE
AM/NOV

We had a three way tie for first with teams shooting nice rounds of 44 (-10) With their impressive playoff win Chris McCabe & Luigi Noe end up taking home 32 bucks each. Pete DellAquila & Dylan Fredrick take the second place spot and they split 34 bucks. They make big jumps in the points standings and are both in striking distance of the top four. Brian Cantrell & Adam Fabianski take the third place honors and they split $24.

CONDITIONS
Another Picture Perfect Night! The night started out with the temperature around 76 degrees. The winds were steady out of the East at around 8mph.  The SUN was mostly out the hole round. The temp dropped to around 69 and the winds died down by the end of the round. The course is dry and in great shape. 

NOTES
 • Al Hermosillo & Dan Osysko shoot a fantastic round of 39 (-15) and win a playoff to take the top honors for the night. Dan & Al both jump into the top 5 on the first half points board with this impressive win.

• Mike Noe & Pete Dell’Aquila easily take down the Am/Nov field shooting a very nice round of 45(-9). With their great win Pete and Mike are now in striking range of taking the top spot for the first half.

• NO ACES, the pot starts at $196 next week

• The bigger than normal Barn Pond continued to eat-up discs left and right on hole 4.

• Please don’t be discouraged if you’re an AM and had a rough night. Shake it off and try again next week. The more you play and learn from the league’s more experienced players the better your game will evolve. We’ve all been through this stage.

• Welcome Paducah, Kentucky native Jamie Hayden. He came up to visit and went home with the Tournament Fund Ctp and a sweet 2012 IL State Buzz.

I think hole 12.

I believe Thor & Josh were keeping pace but missed their last two holes, which were 20 & 21. They ended up with a -20. Ouch!
