COURSE FLOODING UPDATE
« on: April 21, 2013, 10:19:27 AM »
Please post course updates. It looks like leagues are going to have to be moved this week. Any updates would be great. Frank has already declared Channahon a disaster.

Highland is good, with just a little mud.

Mokena was almost completely dry except for that one low spot in the middle of the course, but that just looked like it always does at this time of year.

West Park is muddy on holes 3, 4, and 11 especially. Otherwise, it looks good.

I also heard that Trinity was looking good. The water is higher than usual, but still playable.

Shorewood is good. I went through there Friday & there was no flooding, & to my surprise the creek was not raging. I'll be at Channahon in the morning & report tomorrow evening.

Community Park is still closed & I doubt it will be open soon. The creek that runs through #1 & #2 is flooded #2's basket is under water. The water on the hill on #4 is at the bottom, so that's down a lot. Rain is in the forecast for  Tuesday, so we'll wait & watch.

Are we going to have to postpone laying down the woodchips today? I don't think I'll be able to make it out to Channahon today. :-\

The water is receding nicely. I was able to see the castle blocks on the wall on #2. That tells me the wall withstood the storm, not like last time. I can use a hand Saturday morning, putting the bridge back coming from #12. Probably around 9:00am.

We'll try & do that next Tuesday, hopefully that works. I think we'll be able to play there next week.

I just got a new job, I start on Monday and I get out at 4:30pm on weekdays. I may not even make it to Tuesday's handicap unless someone signs me up early and I drive straight there after work. I'm glad more people are stepping up to help you and I wish I could but unless its a weekend or after 5pm I won't be able to make it.
