J-Town Disc Golf Doubles League Party

Saturday - October 16, 2010
Highland Park, Joliet
Belmont Athletic Club
Located on the north side of hole #4.
The big pavilion in the back. If the weather is bad we’ll be inside the Belmont Athletic Club.

11-11:30 a.m. Random Draw Doubles

(ALL DIVISIONS COMBINED)
$10 entry - $2 ace fund - $2 50/50 ctp
(adding a few extra holes)

The J-Town Disc Golf Doubles League &
Frank & Bean’s Singles Handicap League
will hand out plaques & trophies
to the winners after the round.


The Gary Lewis Achievement Award
will also be awarded for the first time.
Gary Lewis will present the award.




food & drink will be served all day

Samuel Adams Octoberfest  is on its way.

Can anyone bring a grill or their basket. It doesn't matter what kind of basket it is. Please let me know as soon as you can.

I can bring a discatcher sport (with only one set of chains) if you still need one...

I can bring a practice basket. It's nothing special, certainly not tournament quality, but I'll bring it.




Thanks Patrick & Ryan, your baskets will work just fine. If anyone else has a basket and it’s easy to stick in your vehicle please bring it.

Par 69
Conditions: About 69 degrees, sunny and gusty winds
The course is in great shape. A perfect day.
78 Doubles Players
Over 120 disc golfers, their families and friends attended.

Dan Osysko & Ben Carrescia whipped the field by two strokes throwing a great round of 54 (-15). They end up taking home 82 bucks each. We had a tie for second with the teams shooting 55s (-13) John Vargo and Eric Bassett  took second and split 116 bucks. Jason McKinney & Nate Winterstein took third and split $86.
 
Shawn Harmon skipped aced hole #6 = $78

RAFFLES- We had well over $4000 in merchandise raffled.
Big prize winners.

The hundred or so players who worked on the courses threw out the year. Our courses look great and are in amazing shape.

John Vargo and Eric Bassett took 2nd at the picnic. Nate Winterstein was my partner, and we got 3rd.

Great job this year Jesse and Darrin. Thanks for all of your hard work.

There are many pieces to our J-Town puzzle that fit perfectly. What ever the occasion people step up, what a great bunch of people!!! Thanks Jesse & all that you mentioned to make it a special day. It's a work of art.
By the way, not much gets by Jason Poole.
