Leagues & Tourneys / Re: August 27th & 28th - The Wild West
« on: August 23, 2011, 04:45:38 AM »
As an additional incentive, I am giving away a free custom stamped mini driver to the first 50 players who pre-register for The Wild West.

Registrations are starting to come in. Get yours in early enough, and get a free mini driver!

So glad to hear you are doing well Frank! Don't second guess your decisions....you're doing great!

We'll only be using Federation-approved mini discs:

Little Flyer and Little Flyer spiral
Inova heavy weight DX and CE plastic
Discraft mini magnet (hard or soft) and Z plastic
Ching mini JU JU or MoJo
All Minis under 4-1/2 inches in diameter are approved for play. Wood and metal minis are not allowed.

That way, if someone breaks the record, it'll count.

Leagues & Tourneys / Mini long drive competition
« on: August 11, 2011, 09:14:42 AM »
Mini driving competition:

As part of the Wild West experience, I will be running a mini driving contest during the lunch break. Let's see who can drive their mini the farthest. Bring your favorite mini! Or, I will have some excellent driving mini's available for purchase if you don't have one that's suitable. One drive is included in your registration fee. Extra drives can be purchased for $2, or 3 for $5. All money from the extra drives purchased will go into the pot. May the longest drive win.

$2 will be taken out of every entry fee and put into a pot for the longest drive with a mini. As always, Am's will be paid in funny money, and Pro's will be paid in cash.

The contest will be held on the green mile (hole #11). All mini's must stay in the fairway or be disqualified. Any mini that comes to rest in or beyond the weeds on either side of the fairway is considered OB and cannot win. I'll take a look at the fairway before the contest starts and make any adjustments necessary for a fair contest. I will be the sole judge and jury regarding OB, unless I appoint someone to run the driving contest, in which case, that person shall be sole judge and jury.

I would like to get a few volunteers to help out with the mini driving contest. I'd like a few runners to bring mini's back to the tee box and to generally help out with the contest. If you are willing to volunteer, please PM me.

Randy Moore Sr. has been on a tear all year long. Sitting 52 points above second place, his lead is nearly insurmountable. But can he win 5 match play rounds in a row to bring it home? This Intermediate field looks very tight, with the difference between 12th and 22nd being only 20 points, anything can happen.

A wide spread of points thru the top three of Jon Boster, Jason Riley, and Ben Carrescia. Looks like the 16th spot in Advanced could be highly contested. The difference in points between 6th and 18th is only 30 points. With 16th place at 45 points, anyone could still get in the finals.

Deuces Wild points are finally up on the PDGA. New points totals for each division listed below. There is only one tournament left to pad your totals: The Wild West 2011 at Westpark in Joliet IL on August 27th & 28th.

Leagues & Tourneys / Re: AC Finals Match Play 2011
« on: August 04, 2011, 10:52:18 AM »
Please note that if you move up to a higher division, you can still use the points earned in the lower division to qualify for match play in the higher division. (You cannot use points earned in a higher division toward play in a lower one.) That way, there is no penalty for moving up.

As soon as Deuces Wild gets fixed on the PDGA site, I will update this list again.

Need to pad your totals? We only have one tournament left - The Wild West at West Park on August 27th & 28th.
