Who needs free labor?
« on: December 24, 2010, 06:42:57 PM »
New member to the site, but I've been playing disc golf for around 8 months now.  Anyway, I need community service hours (not a court thing, its for high school) so I figured I'd give back to the disc golf community.  So who has things they need done/helped with on the courses in the area?  I'm not against hard work, I just need to know where to go. I know there's not much time for something immediate, with tomorrow being christmas, and sunday having leagues, but I could start as soon as monday with whoever needs it, just post here and let me know!

Thanks,
Jacob

How about Sunday morning Jacob? Between 9:00 & 9:30 at Channahon. I need to shovel the tees for our doubles league.I just want to get the snow off. I think I have one other guy. I'm not sure what kind of credit I can give you, but I'll look into it. There is not much going on with the disc golf courses in the winter other than snow removal.I'll check the message board tomorrow night.

Merry Christmas!!! To you Jacob & all.

I'll be there with my shovel Frank. As for the credit thing, once I go back to school I'll grab a form, then I just need you to sign it and write how many hours I worked.

Jacob, are you still doing Community Service? There is a process that needs to be followed. Others that may be reading this, let me know. It doesn't thrill me to ask for help, but I have a pain in the back project, moving a basket, with 400 hundred lbs. of concrete around it.

That would be great! What is want to do is dig enough around the basket so we can put a chain around the concrete & lift it out, with a machine.   Maybe Friday but probably Monday. How can I get a hold of you?

There is a change of plans from last night. I may do it this afternoon. The Park is going to be around with the tractor.

Thanks Rob & Jacob! I didn't do anything yet, I have other things I'm also working on. We're going to need help from the Park, so I'll see how things work out, & keep in touch.

Jeez Dr. Pepper, I forgot about you! I'm a silly, silly man. You bet, you're now on the list as soon as I can get the details worked out.
