Leagues & Tourneys / ACE RACE
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:39:26 AM »
So I am having this thought that J Town should have an Ace Race.... I have looked into it and basically the cost of the tourney is 25 - 30 dollars... everyone will get a brand new disc and play with that disc only.... The top three events will get a basket from Discraft.  The winner of the ace race will get a grand prize of a new bag and 8 new discs from Discraft.  Let me know what everyones thoughts are.  This is a good way we can Raise money for J town disc golf club.....  we bring out all of our members and I think we will be a hard event to beat.....
Good Chat
See ya out there

Hey Everyone
This year I wanted to run a sanctioned tournament out at Trinity Links in Lockport.  I am sure everyone reading this has been there a time or two.  The tournament will start at 4:45 on Saturday evening and everyone will play the long tees.  the second round will be played from the shorts and it will be a glow round.  I will be selling LED glow sticks and regular glow sticks and I will also provide a microwave to heat up the regular glow sticks.  (don't' ask me why but it just makes them glow brighter and longer)  The tourney is on the PDGA webpage and you can start to preregister with me after Illinois State is over.  If you have any questions let me know.

or a c tier and have one round of longs during the day and shorts at night.... all rounds at Trinity Links
august 7th or 8th would be the dates I would have this... does anyone know of other tournaments in the area or ideas for this tourney.

DP let gary lewis know and he can handle that.. we don't need a bunch of people messing with baskets out there because it will give other people ideas of messing with the course... thanks for brining it to attention but i would let gary handle that.. that course is his baby

Courses / Re: Concrete Tees for Highland
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:17:07 AM »
There is going to be a glow tourney to help raise money for these concrete tee pads.....  Also I think that if someone wants to sponsor a tee I am not sure on the costs of these tee's yet but if you are interested in sponsoring a Tee Pad respond to this post.  I am guessing something like 200 per hole will be the cost depending on deals.  Also I think Gary is going to have some fundraiser plastic for sale to help raise money as well.... These are just ideas and nothing is set in stone but keep your eyes open for all that will be coming..   These tee's would be a great add on before tourney's start coming to the area....

..  Lets rip out the baskets at shorewood and bring them to highland and bring highlands to shorewood.... that way if they do rip it out we will have better baskets at highland and honestly the best thing about shorewood is it keeps traffic down on other courses.... they can deal with the old school baskets there.. just my opinion though

Frank we really need to get you spell check.... One more day everyone.. bring two cans of food... if your not current with the PDGA be prepared to get taxed.... you must have proof you are current or the tourney gets fined... weather is looking good.. can't wait to see you all out there
