Yes, Sir.  I didn't want to type it out because some websites use bots to scan forums and pick out phone numbers for telemarketing purposes.
I took care of it Mike, still learning, & I thought I saw four nines. I have destroyers laying around. I'll put them in the car & you can check them out. I won't be at league Sunday but I'll have them with me the next time I see you.

Frankie,

I am really glad to hear that things are looking better. My whole family, myself included have been sending a lot of positive thoughts your way. I will pass this information on to everyone. Let me know if you need anything.

Jason
Thanks Fool. I've noticed my spirits are up when I'm with my disc golf friends. It's encouraging to my attitude. It will be a while before I know for sure. The first report was good news & brings joy to me & family this holiday season.
Thanks again Jason!

Played 2 rounds with Flash and Frank at Eagle Ridge. Lost first round to Flash by one stroke. Then beat Flash by 4 strokes second round shooting a -8.

Randy played very good!!! Ask him if his hand hurt? He was playing so well he didn't know he had a left hand. I yelled I'm the best driver in the world!!! Didn't work!

Frank Grimes - Some of the reasons why he was awarded The Gary Lewis Achievement Award.

Raised over $3500 for Morning Star Mission at the J-Town Ice Bowl

Busted ass all year while battling cancer to continually make Community Park one of the most friendly and beautiful places to play disc golf. The amount of time and hard work that he puts into this course is breathtaking.

Community Park in Channahon was in immaculate condition for all  5 tournaments held there in 2010
The List:
J-Town Ice Bowl • Feb. 27, 2010
The Dave Pitner Memorial • May 1 & 2, 2010
Chain Reaction 2010 • June 26 & 27, 2010
2010 J-Town Disc Golf Club Invitational • July 9, 2010
23rd Channahon Classic • September 25 & 26, 2010

Vice President of the J-Town Disc Golf Club

One of the founders of the Frank & Bean’s Handicap League.

Worked extremely hard on getting Highland Park into shape for IL State. Concrete work, stump removal, garbage pick-up, and hours of weed whacking including a couple of hours in the morning before he played in the tournament.

He worked anywhere and everywhere when he was called upon.

Sorry Paco that this wasn’t mentioned at the ceremony.

Please feel free to elaborate on anything that was missed or something you feel should be mentioned about Frank.
Thanks for the kind word Jesse. I'm glad to be a part of many good people. You've been a staple over the years, & that make the compliment even sweeter.

The first battle is won. My psa is 0.36 down from 13.82. Talking with the Dr. it seemed they were expecting nothing less. Next, is testing every 6 months to see if the cancer comes back. There are side effects from the zoladex (hormone shots)  & I can handle that.
Soo!!! The first battle is won but the war continues.
Thanks for you prayers & encouragement it means everything.

                                     Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well.......This has been a long anticipated week for me that's coming up. It's like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas Day. Needless to say I'm extremely anxious. They take blood tomorrow Mon. the 15th & I meet with my Dr.  Wed. the 17th. I'll learn how the treatments did. This mental process has been on my mind since April.

I posted this on titled Foundation for a better Life. It's encouraging to me. If you don't have struggles in life, it may be cute. For those who may have struggles, it gives a positive point of view.

Lockport is looking sweet. There are hole changes, chip spread around, general maintenance. It looks real nice. It's going to be interesting with how the water is going to affect #15. Good work guys!!!

Shoot The Breeze / Fund Raising for Channahon
« on: November 06, 2010, 09:51:52 PM »
Thor's glow golf fund raiser for concrete tees make me think what I can do for funds at Channahon. Watching him tonight made me put myself in his position. I'm sure i could do it, but it's way out of my comfort zone.
To give an example that may appear insignificant, as far as end result, I have $142.00 with material, painting J-Town on #4. The club would refund my total cost but I'm only asking for $75.00 for the two gallons of stain. Thirty dollars was my mistake for picking the wrong colors. That's just one example.
I'm lookig for input. One thought I had is raffle tickets. They would accumulate over a certain dollar amount, & then be raffled. Another thought is having  a fund raiser tournament. I'm looking for suggestion.

It's been over two years that the timbers were displaced. Today the wall is back. Shawn Harmon was huge help. It was a pleasant suprise, it made for the disappointment the day before. Thanks Shawn!
Shawn is also going to help me tomorrow. You'll need to come out to winter league & check that out. I think it will be obvious, we'll see.
I got a call from Bangham but we had it under control. Thanks for the offer Dean.

Without starting a new post this is an update. Shawn suggested putting rocks in front of the timbers so we did. It looks nice but I'm not sure how it will function after the water runs.

Shawn's been very good to me over the years. He made a frame with the article when I won World's, made unique artwork, given me a Christmas gift, took me up for treatments a couple of times. Many times helped me on the Park. Keep in mind I live there, & Shawn visits, and brings his own beer.

Hole 9 is mine Grimes, now take your Italian Sausage fingers off of it. All i want from you is about a couple thousand rocks to line both sides of the fairway. Then clear out about another 75 feet behind and slightly to the right of current basket, and build around a 20 ft mound to put the basket on top of. After you do all that put my name on it, oh and by the way thanks in advance. One last request i forgot about frank. The large tree just left and in front of the tee that blocks big anhyzer shots, i need that removed. Twenty years ago that thing was the size of a 5 ft bush and was quite easy to throw over. I hope your passion can accomodate my needs brother, otherwise i'll have to find someone else to do all the work so i can take ownership of my hole. Let me know how long this will all take, i was thinking you could have all this done by thanksgiving.
You crack me up Flash. What I'll do is put that on the to do list. Short term I'll make a sign & stick it in the ground with your name on it. I'll stick it on the right of the short tee pad. We have to think of a name, it used to be Harmon's Hill.
