« on: June 13, 2012, 07:08:02 AM »I am very proud to say that I served 9 years active duty and I know exactly how it feels to be deployed and how much care packages and letters from home really impact deployed troops, so I will bring some stuff next handicap or doubles league next week.That's GREAT! I need a spirit lift. I know about being deployed also. I also know about being hated when the tour is over. The care packages are for Wed. Maybe we can hook up Tuesday. I'll be there Tuesday & my name is Frank, please introduce yourself.
I have a weed whacker and can help with work day stuff at Highland. Let's get it done! I'll bring my kids and make 'em pick up trash for ice cream!

I'm new, I don't know anyone yet, but I am more than willing to help as much as I can. When I do something - like start Disc Golf - I jump in all the way to my head and sink or swim! Don't know if that is relevent, but I guess what I am saying is that I am already in love with this sport and want to do what I can to make it better for myself and everyone else that loves it.

On a side but related note, do you have a FB page? Are you going to get those silly little Facebook and Tweet links on your homepage? The only reason I ask is that I would like to support you guys as well as you support the sport...and the only way I can do that is to help promote you and your store. I even mentioned to a Veteran I saw today (I am a Veteran and I work for the VA; I saw he had a DGA sticker on his car) to check out your store if he was down this way.

Awesome! I was hoping to come out tonight (Talked to Patrick and Johnny at A&C earlier), but my youngest son had baseball practice and he's too young to leave by himself yet. I will DEFINITELY be coming out next Tuesday and probably Wednesday as well. Looking forward to it! Thanks for the welcome and the information!

Who is that, Johnny B or Patrick? I just met you guys today - bought the shirt and the new disc and had Johnny helping me out with some pointers (Black Mini Cooper, if that helps). Anyway, I really appreciate the information! I can't throw over 300' with any consistency yet (I'm pretty good on the short game, which is the only reason I feel even remotely comfortable even starting a tournament yet, lol) so I guess I'll shoot at novice for the first tour or two. Thanks alot for the warm welcome!

I'm extremely new to the PDGA - just got my number yesterday - and have only been playing for a couple of months...What is B-Tier Amateur? I have an Amateur membership and would sign up for the event as a novice, I think.
