Leagues & Tourneys / Wrong score- Winter leagues 1/22
« on: January 22, 2012, 10:09:30 PM »
I went over our (Dana Vicich and Matt Myer) score when I got home today, pretty sure we shot a 45 not a 44.

It was unintentional and I apologize.

Playoff next time we are all at league?  How do we handle this one?  I think there were at least 2 other 45s, maybe 3?

Ledgestone Insurance is stepping up big and supporting disc golf in 2012.  They (Nate Heinold/Ledgestone) are putting on a huge tournament series in IL.

Lets show Ledgestone that we (disc golfers) support the companies that support us. Maybe other companies/businesses will see that it pays to sponsor disc golf/disc golfers.

It can't hurt to at least call Nate and get a quote- 309-657-9971

It'd be pretty cool to see that new club logo on some gear.  This is a smoking good deal....

Thinking no on the player pack.  I may try and talk Pine Hills into some sort of pizza/beer deal after the tourney though.

We got a $5 Players Cup pool set up- www.iregisteredonline.com for info and to sign up! Open to anyone and everyone. 100% payout to top 3 (or top 5 if we get 100+ entries).

From Brett-

I have some good news and some bad news.

Let's start with the good news. The DGA baskets and tee signs have arrived. The classic barn red baskets are sweet! Concrete work has also begun. The circle tee pads are going to look and play awesome.

There are a couple of items on the bad side. There was some miscommunication between myself and the park district. There is an area that is going to be off limits due to the planting of wild grass/plants . It was my understanding it was a fairly small area near the creek. I found out it runs the entire length of the creek and comes out 100ft. That area really takes away a sweet par 4 and a creek that was in play. I'm going to have to redesign 3 of the final holes. It's not going to be easy and takes away a really awesome hole. The last is a kick to the nuts. The disc golf course is going to be mostly completed by the end of October like initally planned. The park will not reopen until October of 2012. It could possibly open sooner if the rest of the work (other projects in the park) is completed by then. This means the baskets will not go in the ground until the park is open. It looks like we have some time to wait.

Pine Hills is a golf course located in Ottawa, IL
We will play 2 rounds of 18 with golf carts (unless extremely wet).  The course will be very similar to the March layout (for those familiar).  Par will be in the mid 60s
