No updates today because Darrin ran off with my folders. It's all his fault. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the updates up.

I had the Ninja on hole 12 a few weeks ago.  And how did I only get 1 point for 2nd place? Does only 1st get points?

Everyone involved walked away either with poison ivy, bloody limbs or something broken. These are some of the hardest working individuals I ever met. They worked with tremendous dedication with one goal in mind.

As of right now league is still at Trinity. That might change when we get there. The Joliet area has been hammered with rain these last couple of days, so I canít imagine any of the courses being in good condition. Iím going to check Highland before I go to Lockport today. Maybe we can we can make a quick switch if we had to. Although I heard that Pilcher Park was a mess.
So go to Lockport first and find out whatís going on tonight.

Shoot The Breeze / Brian Cummings - 2010 Disc Golf Hall of Fame
« on: August 03, 2010, 12:46:33 PM »

Congratulations Brian for your induction into the Disc Golf Hall of Fame.

Brian Cummings

is a big personality in the sport of disc golf. He has been one of the driving forces of disc golf in the Mid-West since the 70's. Always a big man, Brian became one of the first power players travelling across the United States. He has installed many courses and run more than a hundred events, including the 2010 World Championships. He has always been a complete disc golf entrepreneur and has tutored generations of Northern Indiana tournament directors. He is one of the nicest, funniest, most welcoming individuals you will ever meet. Brian Cummings really is a gentle giantÖa giant of disc golf.

Check out this awesome footage of Saturday's lead Pro card in the second round.
This is courtesy of NCTV17. Thank you Rick Rysso and your team for coming out and shooting this great footage.

WEEK 17 - July 28, 2010
Second Half #4
West Park - Joliet, Illinois
21 Holes - Short Tees - Par 63

Conditions:  High 80s hot and humid. A big storm came in before we started and flooded the creek leaving us with no way across to hole two. Hole threes basket was surrounded by a several inches of water. Hole fours tee pad was under water. So we eliminated holes 2-5 and played the old hole five after hole one. Old hole five's tee pad started up on top near hole twelve's basket and shoots down to hole five's basket. We than proceeded to hole six and continued the course.

The tee pads and course look great!
A great night for disc golf

Another BIG thanks to Riphizer for the free hot dogs and raffles. Check out their website at

Thank you to Gateway Disc Sports for providing 21 first run Ninjas for ctps. Everybody had a chance on their first hole to win one of these new discs (Not intended for PDGA play) Please check their website for more great disc golf merchandise.

We apologize for starting late but we had a very high volume of players who wanted to play before the tournament this weekend. Adding holes and trying to accommodate everybody pushed the start time up. We didnít want to turn players away but unfortunately we still did and we are very sorry.

Starting next week are going to provide a womenís division only. We need a least 3 women each week to play. The women will play a long with the regular league groups. The interest for this to work is pretty high. Thanks to Christy Fraticola for making the suggestion for this happen.
