I got to throw a few holes with Dana Friday when I was out getting the course setup. I can see why he took the win at this event. Great job Dana.
I think I finally got all of the post-tournament work done for this one. I need to improve a couple behind the scenes items to make it run smoother for me. Continuous improvement. Events like this are a lot of work. I appreciate all of the help (Tom, Brett, Dave, Dave, and Aaron) I had in setting up/taking down the temp holes and taking care of other little items that just make things run more smoothly.
I've gotten a couple of comments that people really like the hole changes between rounds. That was the work of some of the local players: Rod, Kris, and ... I actually have no idea who else helped here. It was something that I knew was going to happen, got done, and I didn't have to worry about it. Thanks guys! You have a beautiful course that I wish was about an hour closer to my house.
I appreciate the rest of the tournament staff (Jon, Becky, Scott). It is a team effort. Thanks for being part of the team.
Special thanks to our sponsors:
Discontinuum - $500, fly pads, temp baskets
Fade Gear - $200, four pairs of straps
ABC Discs - CTPs
A couple of other house keeping items.
There were a couple of three legged stools left behind by players. Send me a PM if you think it might be yours.
I'm already thinking about next year and how to improve things.
But until then, IOS #4 is next weekend (8/13-14) in Aurora. We'd love to see you all come out. Get your pre-reg in!
