PLAYOFFS!
AM/NOV Randy McMurray takes down Jake Broughton at Highland Park to capture third place for the second half. Jake ends up in fourth which is very respectable considering the field we had this year. Shooting from the white tees Randy shot a 53 and Jake shot a 56. Nice shooting this year guys and thanks for taking care of this quickly. Thanks Cory for the update. 813
Shoot The Breeze / Re: Gary Lewis Achievement Award« on: October 04, 2011, 04:56:50 AM »Congratulations Jesse! A very well deserved honor. Thank you for everything you do. Your hard work has paid off Jesse. Very deserving. Thanks for all that you do! I Helped add up the votes for the Gary Lewis Achievement Award & the well deserved winner for 2011 is Jesse Saenz! Thanks for the compliments guys. It’s a great honor to win and have my name on the Gary Lewis Achievement Award. I’ve known Gary Lewis for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand his life long commitment to disc golf. I’ve seen some of the Hall of Fame list of accomplishments he has achieved in disc golf. He has always thought of his fellow disc golfer first before himself. The Joliet area is a very lucky disc golf community to say he is one of us. The doubles league and the few tournaments I have run are directly modeled after the way Gary Lewis would run it. He has taught me a lot about all aspects of disc golf and life in general. One of the best parts of winning this award is that the J-Town community thought highly enough of me to vote for me. I love you guys! 814

Cory Clements takes out Todd Paraday at Highland Park to capture first place overall. It was a close match until the last few holes. Cory ended up shooting a 55 and Todd shot a 61. Cory finishes with one of the biggest points comeback in league history. Nice shooting Cory! Also a big shout out to Todd for a great and consistent year. That second place overall trophy is pretty damn nice too.
Word on the street is that Randy McMurray took down Jake Broughton to capture third place for the second half. 815

WEEK 26 - September 28, 2011
Second Half #13 Shorewood Park - Shorewood, Illinois 18 Holes - Short Tees - Par 54 CONDITIONS Temperature was in the low 60s for most of the night. It was mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles with the sun peaking in here and there. It was also completely still which was a little unusual. A perfect night for disc golf. Most of the tee pads were very slippery and the course was a bit muddy but not too bad and it didn’t effect the scores. The course looked extremely clean thanks to my two nephews Chango (John) & Mikey Saenz. PLAYERS 48 Players 24 PRO/ADV 24 AM/NOV A DEUCE OR GO HOME NIGHT! TOP THREE PRO/ADV We had a tie for first with the teams shooting incredible rounds of 37 (-17). Nick Schwarz & Dan Osysko win the playoff to take the honors for the night. They end up splitting $116. With this win Dan ties Al Hermosillo for second place for the second half. Since week 21 Dan Osysko has won four times giving him one of the biggest comebacks in league history. Jaroslav Nehyba & Al Hermosillo take the second spot splitting 67 bucks. With this second place finish Al ties Dan O. for second place for the second half. Al also ties Kris Hutter for the third and final trophy spot for overall. JR comes within one point of fourth place which is the last trophy and cash spot. This was JR’s best finish since starting league. We had a five way tie for third and only two of the teams were getting paid. The teams shot very good rounds of 38 (-16). Jesse Saenz & Dave Rosenbalm win the ctp playoff on hole one to take the third place honors. They end splitting 37 bucks. PRO/ADV PLAYOFFS! Al Hermosillo will go up against Kris Hutter to determine the third place trophy for overall. The course to be determined. They are fighting for one trophy only! Al Hermosillo will go up against Dan Osysko to determine the second and third place finish of the second half. The course to be determined. They will both receive a trophy and prizes. All courses used in the playoffs have to be courses used in the doubles league this year. TOP THREE AM/NOV Destroying the am field by three strokes and shooting an awesome round of 39 (-15) were Cory Clements & new comer John Kerr. They end up taking home $30.50 each. This was the biggest win for Cory since he started playing league. With the win Cory takes first place out right for the second half. He also ties Todd Paraday for first place overall. Cory has had a monster last seven weeks with three wins, one second and one third. This kid has been on fire! We had a three way tie for second with teams shooting very nice rounds of 42 (-12). Jake Broughton & Tyler Seddon win the ctp playoff on hole 15 to take the second place honors. They end up splitting 31 bucks. This was a huge win for Jake. He now is tied with Randy McMurray for the third place spot for the second half. Thor Batchelor and Danny “Nuggett” Tejero take the third spot and split $18. AM/NOV PLAYOFFS! Cory Clements will go up against Todd Paraday for the first place overall trophy. They will play at Highland Park from the white tees. You can't script it any better than this. Two of our best Ams playing at their best, battling head-to-head for the biggest prize of the league. No pressure guys! This will be a fantastic match to watch or possible video. They both will walk away with trophies. Jake Broughton will go up against Randy McMurray to settle third and fourth place for the second half. I believe they will also play the white tees at Highland Park. They both will walk away with a trophy and prizes All courses used in the playoffs have to be courses used in the doubles league this year. This has been one of the best and exciting finishes in league history! Please get a hold of me when your matches have ended. I need to know as soon as possible.
