I like the 50% to mission on ctp, 25% of entry fees seems a little small but you guys got a great attendance record in J-Town. I'll be there to support your great cause!
-
I imagine its only 25% because its sanctioned and have to cover fees.

Done! So... processing fee or day of penalty, hmmm. Penalty goes to charity, processing goes to Breiner's pocket. That's easy!
-
Been out practicing for this one :D
-
Ill ask here.
I wont have the $$ to get my PDGA renewed before the tourney. I know Ill have to pay the $10 extra, but when I renew in a couple weeks will I be able to get this tournament to count towards my rating?
Thanks
-
Yes. See reply to your question in pdga certified officials.
-
I saw that answer it seemed as if it wasn't a "for sure".
Thanks for the help Aaron. See you Saturday

Online registration (https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/JTown_Ice_Bowl_2013/register) closes Friday 2/8. Day of registration will cost $5 extra and will open at 7:30. For those already signed up, don't forget to bring your food donations and proof of PDGA membership (if you signed up recently).

Jason - I thought Juniors didn't have to pay the $10 penalty for not being PDGA members? I was going to sign up my son, but was worried I was paying $25 for him when the fee is normally waived.

Juniors are exempt from the $10 Non PDGA Member fee. If your registering online, just check the PDGA Current box and leave the number at 0. I'll know whats going on.

Yes, that day was huge!!! I was overwhelmed! I can't say enough about the club & their enthusiasm! That would be Ray Hill, Jason Poole, Dean Bingham, & Dave Kociuba. Dana jumped in with help with the registration, Scott Coyne came with the firewood & got the fire going, Steve Slater with the basket & helped with the sponsor signs, & helped up front, along with many others. A Great statement to the community & disc golf. I need to round up the money, but I think it will be close to $9,000.00. Simply Wonderful!!!

Disc golf event aids MorningStar Mission
From staff rEports March 15, 2013 2:56PM
Updated: March 17, 2013 3:04AM
Ninety disc golfers came to play a PDGA-certified event Feb. 9 in Channahon to raise funds for MorningStar Mission Ministries.
The tournament, sponsored by J-Town Disc Golf Club, raised more than $8,000 that will provide more than 3,900 meals and care to those experiencing homelessness. Hall of Famer Gary Lewis joined the event with logo T-shirt and sweatshirts.
J-Town Disc Golf Club was started in the summer of 2009.
The day of the event was brisk with an occasional breeze that made it feel even colder. With the ice on the course it certainly was fitting for an event called the “Ice Bowl.”
PDGA World Champion Frank Grimes was instrumental in starting the partnership with MorningStar Mission for the Ice Bowl. This year the Ice Bowl drew disc golfers as far as Galveston, Texas.
Board members are Ray Hill, Frank Grimes, Jason Poole, Dean Bingham and Dave Kociuba.
