I had a great time at Il state, I always do. I can only play one tourney a year I always make sure it is that one! Next time you see/talk to Jesse please tell him thank you for his hard work and time in putting on a great event. Thanks again man.
Thanks for the update. We have contacted the park district to see if they can clean it up before this weekend.
Frank and Sr have been out there multiple times this week getting the course looking sharp. Thanks guys.
I'll be out at the course tonight taking care of details and running our weekly PDGA sanctioned handicap league ($7 gets you in, tee of at 6pm). Come get a practice round in on the course. You can also register for the Oswego Open with me tonight in person and save yourself a couple bucks. Online preregistration closes Friday at noon.
Just a tad more than two weeks out until the next leg of the IOS. For those that have not been out to Eagle Ridge lately, there have been a number of improvements: All long tees are now concrete. Hole #9 is permanently elevated. Hole #10 has been lengthened by about 30' A number of benches have been added to rest your weary legs (Thanks Frank!)
Please preregister to help this event run smoothly.
I have made trophies for the following divisions: Open Advanced Intermediate Recreational Novice Adv Sr Grandmaster Adv Grandmaster Adv Master
If you are planning on playing in a division other than one listed above, please preregister so that I have time to make a trophy.
Ray- I appreciate the input and ideas. They do have merit. We have run an ace pool for this event, but I don't remember what the buy-in was. Like I said, I never get in.
If no one hits an ace, having 100+ people throwing off will take a while. But it does give me a chance to make sure I have all of the results put together.
We are going to have a very full house, I will try to be ready for checkin early to help things run smoothly. Come checkin first before you head out to warmup so we can get started on time.
I never get in the Ace pool, so if I hit it, you all can take your dollar and buy yourself a Speedy Freeze down the street.
I have space on the leaderboard cards to track who's in the Ace pot if we want to do it the way we have in past years. Tom will make the call on how he wants to run it. I just need to know before players start checking in.
