J-TOWN DOUBLES WEEK 8 RESULTS 2018
WEEK 8 - May 23, 2018
First Half #8
Trinity Links, Lockport, IL
TEES
Short Tees - Par 63 • 21 Holes
We added 3 extra holes. Hole 4a was a 225 foot island shot to the practice basket. If you didn’t make it into the circled area you were OB and you had to putt from the marked drop zone. We split hole 7 into three holes. Hole 7A we played a 180 foot hole from the old long tee near hole 18 to an elevated basket in the open field. Hole 7B we played a 305 foot shot from the long tee closes to fence line to a temp basket in the middle of the fairway. Hole 7C we teed off from near the creek and threw to hole 7s basket. It was a 265 foot shot.
CONDITIONS
It was a picture perfect night for disc golf. To start the night we had clear skies and the temperature was around 80 degrees. There was a slight East wind blowing at an average of 7 mph. It ended with temperatures in the low 70s. The course is great conditions with a little standing water in some areas from the recent rain.
NOTES
• 5 weeks left of the first half!
• Once again we had many new faces that we hope will continue to show up each week. We also hope that the familiar faces that weren’t there will make their way back and be part of this year’s league. We miss you
• Paula “Momma Borowski” Borowski and Jamie “JamieMac” McDonald take the win shooting an great round of 70 in the women’s division.
• Kevin “Kid K” Macuiba and Steve “Briggs St.” Rachan take the top spot by crushing the Pro/Adv field by two strokes. They end up shooting an amazing round of 44 (-19). Kevin now jumps into a tie for second place for the first half while Rachan makes a big jump towards the top four on the leader board.
