• Deuce or go home night. It’s tough to swallow when you come in with a 20 down only to find out there is already a 21 down and three other 20s. But this is the kicker only two of the 20 downs are getting paid. Ouch!
The Ams also ripped up the course with the winners shooting 19 down and a couple of 18s.
It was a great night for disc golf.

WEEK 18 - August 8, 2012
Second Half #4
The Oaks -Mokena
TEES
18 Holes - The Ropes Design Par 54- Skipped holes 18-19 because of soccer and ultimate practice.
Pro/Adv Played the OB
Am/Nov Did Not Play the OB but just the course layout.
CONDITIONS
It rained for about an hour right before we started. It was just enough to keep people away. It was calm and clear for the remainder of the night. The tee pads were slick on several of the holes making it even more challenging. The round started in the low 70s and it continured to drop into the high 60s by the end of the night.

The Ropes design:
Temptation, long holes, out of bounds, laying up and playing smart seem to describe this course the best. I think temptation will ultimately get the best of a lot of players and as always temptation might not be a good thing. It’s a great course and an extremly challenging layout. Don’t miss this rare opourtunity to play something so unique.
I’m just glad I’ll only be spotting.

WEEK 20 - August 22, 2012
Second Half #6
Community Park, Channahon
TEES
18 Holes - Par 54- Short Tees
CONDITIONS
To start the round the temp was around 83 with clear skies and barely a breeze. It fell to around 75 by the end of the round. It was a perfect night for disc golf and the course was in great shape. The only scary thing was that the course is completely dry. All the water areas on the course are dried up. It makes you appreciate all the extra work Frank is doing to just keep up with watering his arboretum.
COMMENTS
• With only 5 weeks left Tom Matesevac has opened up a 6-point lead in the second half and an unbelievable 8.5-point lead in the overall. He is pushing to be the first Triple Crown winner in the Pro/Adv since 2006. Eric Fite holds on to second place for the second half by one point with the rest of the field pushing hard to catch him. Dan Osysko gets a big second place victory to give him a 2-point lead for third place for the second half. Dan also jumps into a 3-way tie for second place overall. Clayton Drake gets a huge victory and sits in fourth place for the second half by 3-points.
• Kevin Yockman gets a hug win and takes a huge jump into second place for the second half. Yockman also opens up a 3-point lead in the overall. Kevin is pushing hard to grab the Triple Crown. Kevin Macuiba gets a huge second place finish and catapults into first place for the second half. He also sits in second overall with a 2.5-point lead. Jeff Reardon, Eric Smith & Mario Guzman all sit tied for third for the second half. They are all looking to pounce on Macuiba & Yockman for the second half title.
•
TRIPLE CROWN WINNERS
It’s possible we may have two Triple Crown winners this year. Tom Matesevac is cruising along with a dominating year in the Pro/Adv field. He has won the first half and he has a 6-point lead for the second half. He also has a commanding 8.5 point lead in the overall points. Kevin Yockman is also having one of those years with a victory already in the first half, he has 3-point lead overall and he is now only trailing by 1-point in the second half. We have not had two Triple Crown winners since 2005 when Kris Hutter won in the Pro/Adv division and Josh Knight won in the Am/Nov division.

WEEK 21 - August 29, 2012
Second Half #7
Highland Park, Joliet
TEES
18 Holes - Par 54-
We played odd numbers red tees and even numbers white tees. This concept and flow worked well and by shortening some of the longer tees we were able to get the course in before dark.
CONDITIONS
To start the round the temp was around 83 with clear skies and barely a breeze. It fell to around 75 by the end of the round. It was a perfect night for disc golf and the course was in great shape.
COMMENTS
WE ARE STARTING A 5:15 FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR.
• With another win and only 4 weeks left Tom Matesevac has pretty much wrapped up the first triple crown title since 2006 ( Kris Hutter) in the Pro/Adv Division.
• With Tom M. all but wrapping up first place early this half, the battle for second through fourth begins. Eric Fite holds onto the second spot by one point, while Dan Osysko holds onto third by one point. Randy McMurray gets a huge second place finish last night and now jumps into fourth. Ryan Gremillion gets a big win last night and he catapults into fifth place. So now Ryan and Clayton are only one point out of fourth and only three out of second.
In the overall battle for second and third it still remains a tie between Darrin Johnson and Dan Osysko. Dave Kociuba and Steve Forneris remain close while Randy McMurray and Ryan Gremillion make big jumps this week to make things interesting.
• In the Am/Nov division we have a tighter race. Kevin Macuiba gets a huge win this week and now has a four-point lead for the second half. Kevin Yockman remains in second by a point over Jeff Reardon. Mario Guzman now stands a lone in fourth by a point. We also have around ten players all with in striking distance of the top four. It should be an interesting battle four last four weeks.
In the overall battle Kevin Yockman remains on top but his lead was cut in half when Kevin Macuiba won last night. Yockman now only has a 1.5 point lead with four weeks still left. Jeff Reardon holds onto third with Kester Jeffers and Tim Guajardo only 1.5 points out.
