Ice bowl at channy

Hi all,

This is probably a dumb question - but this tourney on Saturday will be my first tourney, as I've only been playing since October.  I've been out the last couple Saturdays to practice, and the course is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  Not just because it's a nice, challenging course, but because it's amazingly maintained and cared for.

My question is this: there are 2 sets of tees, will the Novice division play both rounds from this tee?  Also, I saw this

and was wondering what divisions/rounds played from the up tees or the back tees.  I'm interested in comparing my practice rounds to tourneys that have taken place here.  I guess I'm a little over excited about my first tourney, and picking up a Buzz.

thanks.

That's why we affectionately call Channy Frank's house.  Frank gives time, blood and sweat to make sure you have that impression of Channy.  He is and always will be the man :) ...

We will be playing 2 rounds of short tees and we are adding 2 extra holes for 20 total.

The tourney that you are referencing played rd 1 shorts plus 3 temp holes for a total of 21 holes.  and the second rd was a mix of shorts and longs with 3 extra holes.  If you click on the "Course Statistics" in the upper lefthand side of that page it better explains the layout for past events.

everyone here understands your excitement and it's always welcome.  The Buzzes Gary picked up are really nice.

As far as a score to shoot for??? I not too good at making guesses like that.  Maybe someone else can help me out with that....

Looking forward to Saturday and if you are not preregistered please do so using the link on the homepage... any more question please ask

See you Saturday!!!

-Ray

Oh awesome.. thanks.. I was trying to figure out why everyone's score was consistently higher the 2nd round.  Ooh.. temp holes sound like a lot of fun.

...and yes - I'm preregistered.  I'm stoked.

we are human we get tired from throwing so many discs and carring around 20 + discs.  and conditions change all the time you can start the firdst round a nice day and by the second round it might just be a bit windy.

Just remember to have fun.  There are a lot of holes and 2 rounds.  Most tournaments you don't get to see the same holes from the same tee pads in the 2nd round.  Pay attention to the wind and keep it simple.  Stick to the basics, and what you know works for you.  Good luck!
