2012 DISContinuum Club Challenge
WHEN: March 17, 2012 .
WHERE: Grey Fox Disc Golf Course Silver Lake, Wisconsin.
WHAT'S AT STAKE: Bragging rights and a SWEET trophy.
COST: FREEEEE!!!!!!!
Registration is at Grey Fox Disc Golf Course. Registration runs from 8:30AM to 9:30AM. Players meeting at 9:45AM with tee off to follow. The upper and lower pools will be split.
Teams must pre-register. Final rosters are not required to pre-register.

One round of singles. 27 holes. In order for your club to play, you must have 15 members present at this event. DISContinuum, Fox Valley Disc Golf Club, Streamwood Disc Golf Union, J-Town Disc Golf Club, and GRABM are the five clubs that have automatic invites. Other criteria to play as a club: established club, paid dues, bag tags, and/or an established website. There will be two divisions: Open/Adv and Int/Rec. Any player with a rating >935 will play Open/Adv. All others will play Int/Rec. Mike Krupicka will be the final judge on ratings. If a player doesn't have a rating, they will play in the upper division. CTPs, 50/50, and other prizes to be awarded.
Scoring will be similar to Cross Country scoring. All players will be welcome as long as they are current members of one of the five clubs.

J-Town Disc Golf Club is looking for club members to commit to this event. Format will be 1 rounds of singles, 27 holes. Members will be divided into 2 division with a 935 rating break point. Best 5 upper/ 8 lower finishing positions for each division per round will count towards the club total. Lowest club total wins.

I'm really looking forward to this challenge. I want to rent a van or get some bigger vehicles to car pool up there. Calling all J-Towners...third time is the charm! Make a post or send me a message. I have 2012 J-Town memberships (receive a "first run" J-Town mini with your 2012 bag tag). I can drive the van up, its quite costly on gas though so I'm asking $20 a person. I can fit up to 5 others (excluding me) comfortably and 6 if we squeeze.

I'm looking to attend this weekend and to join J-Town DGC for this event and also to begin attending other events during the year. I played with Discontinuum a year or two ago and then a wedding, house and other things got in the way of my schedule.
Can I sign up to play with J-Town and play with the club at the event?

Sure, we'd be glad to have you. Just show up at the course and see one of the club officers (Ray, Frank, Dean, Dave, Jason) and we'll get you signed up with the club.

Congrats to Disc Golf Union for their fourth win in a row.
Thanks to Mike Krupicka for all his help with this event, without Mike's help this event would not be possible. Thanks to all the team captains who organized their local player bases to make the trip up into Wisconsin; John Cleaveland for the cool box for bag tags; Christie Schepp for taking photos and organizing bag tags; Neal Swanson for running the distance contest; Adrian Gutierrez Sr., Dave B, and Kenny G for helping out with Discontinuum bag tags; Brett for his continued support of all things disc golf; all the players for being patient, 134 to come out for a nonsanctioned event is pretty incredible. Between the 50/50 and donations from all the participating clubs we were able to donate $307 to Kenosha County Parks.
Also thanks to all the players who purchased DISContinuum bag tags. Photos are posted on Facebook on the DISContinuum page.
