Looking for temp baskets for both days at The Wild West sponsored by Westside Discs. Aug 29th-Aug 30th. Safari setup. If you can commit to bringing out a good temp basket, please post below. Thanks in advance for your help!

The Wild West sponsored by Westside Discs - Aug 29th & 30th

Pro C-tier/Ams B-Tier PDGA sanctioned tournament.

Two 18 hole rounds at West Park, in Joliet, IL. Yes that's right, I said 18 holes at West Park. I'm changing it up again this year, and setting up a safari course at West Park. Please be aware that some of the holes will be made more difficult. Expect the unexpected.

Players Pack:

Westside Discs dri-fit T. (First 60 Ams to pre-register.)
Westside Discs Koozie. (All the rest of the Ams.)
One tournament stamped disc to every Am that signs up.

Division Schedule:

Pro (including age protected Pro divisions)

Advanced (including age protected Adv. divisions)
Women's divisions
Jr. divisions

Westpark is one of the most popular courses in the Joliet area. The course plays thru mature oaks. Tee pads are natural. This will be another safari setup at Westpark.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged. By pre-registering, you help us run a smoother tournament.

Pre-register here: http://www.acesandchains.com/node/1178

Day of Registration (if spots are available) and Check-In will be between 8am-9am. Please check in when you get there.

Players meeting will be held at 9:15am. Tee off at approx. 9:30am. Tournament headquarters will be by hole 8.

Cost is $35 for Ams, and $50 for Pros (plus $10 if you are a current PDGA member) Please note there is a $2 credit card fee. Save that $2 if you register in person with cash either at the store, or during day of registration.

9 Advanced Masters registered so far. 3 more and we can have an Adv. Masters final 9! Pre-registration is still available until Wed., May 20th at www.acesandchains.com

First place trophies will be given out to the following divisions at First Flight presented by Axiom Discs:

First Place Advanced
First Place Advanced Masters
First Place Advanced Grand Masters
First Place Advanced Senior Grand Masters
First Place Intermediate
First Place Recreational
First Place Recreational Women
First Place Novice
First Place Jr. Boys

This is based on there being 3 or more players in each of those divisions (except Jr. Boys, which I made an exception for). All other divisions will not receive a trophy. Players from any other divisions are welcome to switch to a division with a trophy being offered.

Pool assignments have been released:

Each pool has a maximum of 72 players before pre-reg for it closes.

Players pack discs are as follows:

Gateway Devil Hawk
Innova Thunderbird
Latitude64 Maul
Salient Discs Touch

Only 5 more days to get the free t-shirt added to your players pack by registering early for First Flight presented by Axiom Discs. Anyone who registers after the end of April "only" gets 4 discs, a poster, and the players guide. Players who pre-register prior to May 1st get the free t-shirt in addition to the above. Please note that only the first 100 players to register will get the free t-shirt. We are currently at just over 70 players registered.

You can register at www.acesandchains.com

This will be a great event. 3 rounds over two days at The Canyons at Dellwood Park, Highland Park, and Channahon's Community Park. The players party Saturday night will feature free food to all registered players who attend. Current plan is to have chicken, subs, and pizza. We will also have a long drive competiton, and a putting competition open to registered players. Winner of each event gets a free Innova Sport basket! We will also have a raffle with some choice items.

As the biggest (and only) Ams only A-tier event in the Joliet area, you don't want to miss it.

We've added a tournament t-shirt to the players pack for the first 100 players to register. To receive the t-shirt, you must also register prior to May 1st (so we have time to print them.) If you have already registered, you will be receiving an email in the next few days asking for your shirt size.

We will also be providing some food for all the registered players who attend the players party Saturday night. This is thanks to our generous sponsor Axiom Discs. The remainder of the sponsorship money will be added to the payouts.

I just received word that the Watermelon Proxy's are ready. I am ordering them on Monday. We will have 100 of this limited run disc available, and all proceed earned from their sale will go into the First Flight tournament.

They are $24.99 each. If you need them shipped, their is an additional $2.50 for shipping.

I'll have these up on www.acesandchains.com as soon as they come in. If anyone wants to pre-order one, you can paypal me at pat_johnson88@Hotmail.com

Thank you to Larry Pennuto for the generous hole sponsorship!

I am very excited to announce that Viridisk will be coming to film the tournament! If you are not familiar with their work, follow this link to their website to check it out: http://www.viridisk.com/

With their unique combination of cameras and angles, I can't wait to see what the tournament coverage will look like.

My thanks to Ryan Aquino for his sponsorship/donation!

Once again, First Flight presented by Axiom Discs is a qualifier for the United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship! Since the USADGC will be held prior to First Flight this year, it will be a qualifier for the 2016 USADGC.
