What's a while? How long have you been playing? This is as special time of the year getting the course ready for the Classic.

I edited my first my first response. I thought it was a little long. I'm the  caretaker of Channahon. When I think special thanks is in due, I post it on the thank you. I think it was Thursday Shawn Harmon helped me. It was nice that you said something.  Thank you!  :)

Frankie,

Thanks for the new "sand trap" around the basket on hole 16. What a great idea! It catches the discs well.

The castle wall on 2 looks even more menacing now.

That park is amazing. My brother and i went to shorewood to clean it. After we went to Channahon. Wow its a very kept up place. Thanks to everyone how donates there time.

Frankie

You're very welcome. It's nice to hear you & your brother were impressed enough to post something. A couple of names come to mind that are not obvious. When I wanted to move the basket on #2, I got input from Roy Carey. On the same whole, when floods displaced the timbers,Tom McManus gave me a design to combat that. It hasn't been tested yet though. I wanted a long tee on #14 & Roy put his touch on that.
You & your brother seem to have an interest in dis golf, I'm looking forward to meeting you & your brother.

That's funny Partick! The reason I say that is a golfer said that should be OB. Dave K. didn't think that was funny. I just laughed. The next time your out there #8 is the same. It was done late last fall. I don't get any volunteers that time of the year. I seldom ask for help, but I asked Roy & Shawn on 16.

OB surrounding the basket? So THAT's how you punish a safe shot....

Sr. would love that!

Everytime I have come to Channahon, I have seen you out there. You have really turned Channahon into the best kept course in the area hands down. And the way you innovate for different looks and shots on the holes is second to none. Keep up the great work.

That's awesome!!! I need these compliments from from time to time.  That's inspiring, thanks! My hope is to plant a couple more trees on #15 & it's getting late but I can get a super deal from Kendal Hill Nursery. You put a smile on my face chadillac.

Frank,

Went out to play Channy a couple of times in the last week. It was great to get out again.

Got to see the Dawn Redwood on hole 15. That one is going to be special to me for a while. I've always thought that it's an amazing tree. I hope it gets to it's full height....it will be magnificent! Also saw the Birch tree you planted a few steps down the fairway from it.

The grass on 11's soon to be new pin placement is looking great too. Can't wait for the new pin to go in.

I wanted to say all of this to you when I saw you, but your group was in a hurry to stay ahead of the group behind you. It was great to see you out playing and having fun! Keep up the great work on Channy.....
